Works great, very accurate, highly recommended.
Ok - so first of all it says this shouldn't be used for sport, which is exactly what I am doing, but with directions from my coach, and as you'll probably come to understand it's being used to measure how low my heart rate can go rather than how hard I am exerting myself...I am training to shoot at the british pistol championships and have recently been lucky enough to land a top coach, who recommended using one of these to help me monitor my heart rate and oxygen levels with a view to training myself to reduce my heart rate in order to shoot more accurately. I have to say that the readings this machine gives are incredibly accurate, and it's a cinch to use.It shows blood oxygen level as a percentage, and heart rate (bpm) updating constantly. There is a graph in certain views that shows your pulse history but only over say the last 6 to 8 heart beats - interesting but of very little practical use.You can change the display orientation so that it is readable from any angle (e.g. you are not looking at it upside down) which is a nice feature as I can flip the screen when it is on my left (non shooting) hand and read it easily whilst I am shooting.overall, it does exactly what I need it to and I am very happy with it.

High dependency unit monitoring in your pocket - great!
Ok, so I'm a parent of a severely disabled little boy with significant respiratory issues. I first bought one of the early versions of these finger sats monitors about 5 years ago - it cost about £150 and was fairly difficult to find a supplier. Now these monitors cost from £10 to £40 and Amazon deliver them next day. And now the functionality is exactly the same as most high dependency unit systems - the original units were very basic. This item gives a heart rate graph which is essential to guarantee the reading is accurate. If the finger is cold and not getting good blood supply, the graph doesn't show a nice even "wave" shape, then the reading is almost certainly wrong - obviously the lack of circulation is concerning but the oxygen sats reading is irrelevant until you can get a decent "wave". For our son, if he is ill, his circulation often gets worse when he is sick and we have to warm his fingers to get a reading. With this unit, you know if you're getting a good reading. I've bought 3 different monitors from Amazon (for school bag, bedroom and vehicle). All work perfectly, the most expensive feels slightly more robust (this was the middle priced item and it works perfectly but isn't just as solid as the most expensive). Nonetheless I would strongly recommend this item - it's like high dependency monitoring in your pocket for a bargain price. Also I would say it is much much more useful than a thermometer and cheaper!

Useful to have.
Accuracy of readings not always good.

Well made - useful piece of kit
The Oximeter arrived two days ahead of the expected date. Brilliant service. The meter reads my condition quite quickly but results do vary dependant which finger is inserted. I am told that this is probably due to occasional bouts of atrial fibrillation and so any intending purchaser with this problem should be aware. However the meter still serves a useful purpose in giving an indication of pulse activity

Excellent value, quality product!
Being an asthmatic I was keen to get an oximeter after visiting the doctor and she placed one on my finger. Having been only diagnosed later in life with asthma and never having a real flare up I was shocked when after a bad cold my lungs deteriorated. I was at the point I couldn't talk for coughing and I was taking my ventolin like it was going out of fashion. Emergency docs app and she told me next time dial an ambulance. At this point I thought I needed to get one to monitor my blood oxygen levels when I am struggling to breath so I can monitor them.I did quite a bit of googling before ordering and finally settled on this one. It is well built and I like the function to rotate the display plus show your heart beat in a graph. It appeared to be the same as the GP's. I was annoyed it didn't come with batteries for this price and it left me searching the house for some. So be aware you will need new batteries for it!!!The little case is nice to keep it in and its small enough to carry with you to keep an eye on yourself.

Accurate SATs reader
Simple to use, this is a very useful instrument which gives accurate readings of pulse and sats. Anyone interested in their general health condition or needs to keep a watch on their oxygen/blood status would not be disappointed. It comes in a carrying pouch to keep it clean and is illuminated to give a clear reading in dim light. The display can be rotated for easy reading when transferring from one hand to the other. At the price this is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

Nice bit of kit for the money
Nice bit of kit for the money. I use professional spo2 monitors at work and this seems to work as well as them. The plethysmograph ensures you are picking up a clean read. It even works on my lads little thumb (he's 3).Quality seems OK but I don't know about longevity yet as I only just got it.Would definitely recommend to others.

Seems to work as expected. The instructions are written in Chinese English (no disrespect intended here) but it's easy to get the drift of how to use the device. The only grumble was the lack of two AAA batteries in the pack, which are needed to power the monitor. As for accuracy, who knows, but I have a general idea of what my pulse-ox should be and I got that reading. Certainly good enough as a guide, easy to use and the display is easy to read and use.
