This is a really fun set at a good price. It’s not hobby-grade quality, but has enough extra features and at a good price to warrant a 5 star review. The overall quality and feel of the track, controllers, and cars I would call “toy-grade”. Very good toy-grade, but not on-par with the old sets from the good old 80’s. The track itself is lightweight and comes apart fairly easily. You can still drive for a few minutes without have to squeeze some track pieces back together, but it comes apart enough to be annoying. I recommend putting it on a rubbery surface to help with track stability. The full track slid around a bit on the table shown in my video - once I put it on some rubber flooring it was stable and held together a bit better. This set does have some really great features! You can control the maximum throttle with a plastic hand-screw at the bottom of the controller. Very helpful with my children so the cars aren’t perpetually flying off the track. Also, the cars aren’t magnetized which greatly helps with their track stability. It has little jumps, loops, and a turbo button (the cars will immediately fly off the track with turbo unless they are on a straight away). There you have it - not nice enough where you want to hide it away and only gingerly play with it all by yourself late at night after the kids have gone to bed. But it IS a very fun toy to share with your family and friends. For that reason it gets 5 stars from me.

My grandson loved his present. It didn't take long to assemble and was well made with easy to understand picture assembly directions. He actually took it apart and re arranged the track several times the first two days to have fun with different configurations. The ability to control speed was a plus to get acclimated to the tracks ability. I know some reviews talk about customer service not great, but that was not my experience. It was given as a gift on Thanksgiving day and one of the cars stopped working within the first hour of play. I wrote the company the next morning and got a response within hours. They directed me to the right department to get the car replaced and by the next morning a new car was being shipped out. So for right now, it was a purchase that was well worth it and brought hours of fun in the first few days of owning it. I would recommend this track.

I love the layout, the quality of the track pieces is exceptional! Only regret, tried power boost at wrong time and car shot off of track. The pin that rides the slot broke off rendering car useless. Overall awesome set.

I told my wife I was buying this for our 3 y/o son who's obsessed with hot wheels because 1) this is dynamic fun 2) two people can race, so he can play with his big sisters and 3) it was on sale at the time. But really? I bought it FOR ME, cause it's one of those awesome toys from childhood that my friend had and I didn't. My son loves it, all the kids race...BUT ME, I own the track, and no one will topple me from 1st place! Serious review: The decor is paper, and the "guardrails" do nothing but go flying should a car wipe-out. Save yourself some time and headache and just trash the decor. The track is so much fun, assembly is straightforward if you follow the instructions, and a hit with the kids!

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 5year old son. This was what he asked Santa for. The reason I chose this over any other track was for the cross section where your cars can run into each other (much like the classic one I had in the 90s). My husband put this together using the instructions provided and it was not easy because of the poor quality of the track supports Once he got it, visually it looked great. However, the lap counter for lane 2 is covered by an overhead track so you are unable to see unless you bend over with your check to the ground. Very disappointing. After reading the directions on how to work your controllers, we put it to the test. Controller 1- does not work AT ALL. (tested it countless of times and in the other port as well, and still nothing) Controller 2- works great! HOWEVER…. We only got 1 out of the 4 cars to actually make it around the track. We tried twisting the coils underneath the car for a better connection but still nothing. My husband has tried troubleshooting everything on it and we have had no luck. I understand toys fail but the fact it was a Santa gift, breaks my momma heart as my son is so sad.

The track I received is not the same as the images on the web site and box. The one I received did not include the two blue curved pieces that allow the track to bank on one of the curves. It doesn't effect the the assembly or functioning of the track; but, it's deceptive advertising. Also the cars have a plastic pin that fits into the slot and it broke off after the first ten minutes of use. The track pieces put together well but tend to come apart constantly while using it which requires having to constantly fiddle with the pieces to keep the track together. The adjusting screw on the controllers is a plus because without them, the cars will just fly off the track. I had to screw them in almost all the way in order to keep the cars on the track. Compared to other slot car tracks offered on Amazon, this one looks like one of the best; however, the quality doesn't even come close to the Aurora brand track I had as a kid. Unfortunately, Aurora isn't around any more.

Make sure your surface is flat. This is very fun slot car racing. Review the instructions for the speed regulators. It is built in hand controllers.

I bought this as a birthday present for my grandson. Who’s six ever since we play with it every single time he’s here which is quite often for hours on end and ended up getting additional track for it making it super long and just so much more fun. This is the best purchase I’ve made in some time for him!

Lite plastig och vägsektionerna går isär ganska lätt. En bil gick sönder dag ett. Som tur är hänger det med 4 bilar. Instruktionen var i minsta laget men det går att få ihop banan. Annars en kul leksak för barnen och mig. Kontrollerna går att spärra hastigheten på så att den lille kan vara med utan att köra av direkt. Jag hade önskat att den höll lite bättre annars en bra produkt.

Bought this for the grandkids for when they come stay, but couldn't resist having a go. Just put together a very basic setup as couldn't be bothered with bridges etc., just to check it out. For the money it's brilliant. Everything there, including a Brit 13A plug and works exactly as it should. Only slight issue one car seems to be slower than the other two, but that could be that it needs bedding in? Simple enough to put together, although does need to be by an adult in my opinion. Hand controllers do control the speed and the speed restrictor function works well...on minimum setting can send cars around without them coming off at corners...for younger kids this will be essential I think (they still come off at the track change and track neck bits when they meet though, so some extra excitement there!). Loop works fine. Counters work fine (though only 0-9) I wouldn't say it was the most robust construction, but what do you expect for £65 for this length of track, however, if not mistreated I suspect it will last. It does come with two sets of replacement brushes, but they are available from the US (via Amazon UK) so I took the precaution of buying these. Extra cars also available at £18 each. All in all very impressed with first look and can't wait for kids to come to set it up properly...they (we) are going to love it!! PS: further investigation on slower car turned out to be rear tyre rubbing on wheel arch. Took a file to it and now fine. Cars now within 1 sec of each other over 9 laps the above track (20secs) although the police car a good 4 secs quicker, so don't know what that's all about, other than police need to be able to catch the baddies I suppose!

This is a great set thus far. Really easy to assemble and although the track takes a bit of manoeuvring to connect once you get the hang of it it’s not hard to do. The track also comes apart a bit here and there but that’s par for the course and it doesn’t even prevent the cars from moving. Really nice set for the price.
