Less hassle than DIY
I already have a bunch of these cells but not with leads attached and covered by heat shrink. I have 2 computers and one MIDI keyboard that take these type of batteries-on-leads, and I know from experience that trying to solder wires to each face of a coin cell battery usually results in a minor explosion of that battery. Best to avoid that. With next day delivery, might as well buy it all assembled and ready to go, plug and play. I wish electronics manufacturers would use a battery holder/compartment instead of these. But I'm glad these replacements exist for when manufacturers don't do that.
