Tested and works well, but confusing way to open! Watch someone's video in the reviews.
Like a lot of reviews, we were about to return this alarm as it was really confusing to open it. It turns out that it doesn't come apart in 2 pieces that are 50/50, it's just the small thinner bit that comes off the main unit, and this can be done by sliding your nail in and then forcing apart lightly.It's also worth noting that the way we turned the unit initially was incorrect, we were convinced that we had twisted it to open it, but it was already twisted as open when we received it. The twist Open/Close arrows are not very logical and it was actually the other way we needed to twist.Tested the unit after unwrapping batteries and it alarms as intended. Hope this helps others.

Easy to fix and efficient
Tested burning toast. Worked well with smoke. Responds to testing so far. Will have to check the life of battery.

Very good first impression
The media could not be loaded. First impressions, this is a very sleek design and discreet, not a bad price as I bought a pack of two compared to others on the market. other people have said how getting in the back off is very difficult once you understand where the back is it’s not that difficult. I’ve added a video showing taking the back off. Hopefully this will help people in the future, Also in the video, I’ve done the test to show the difference between the beeps for smoke and CO2 detection, long beeps for smoke, short beeps, for CO2. There is a green flashing light every 60 seconds to show that the unit is working and the battery is okay. According to the instructions you’ll get a red flashing light and one beep when the battery needs replacing. but as I say first impressions are quite impressed, and the screw holes needed were in exactly the same place as the old fire alarm that this one is replacing so that was an added bonus.

nice looking easy to install alarm
I bought the alarm because the old one expired. renew this new looking 2 in 1 alarm, this is great that I don't need to buy and install 2 separate alarms. it looks beautiful and is no similar one you find in B&Q. easy to install and given with a double side sticker were you don't need to screw it, this is a plus plus in terms of install friendly.

Seller said he would credit my account with £5
When I inserted the batteries into the alarm one of them became so hot I could not touch it. The seller told me to throw away the batteries they had provided and replace them with new ones and he would credit my account with £5. So far the £5 has not been forthcoming

I am very happy with this combi smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector. It is so easy to install and use, and one thing I really love is that it has a loud alarm that will wake you up in case of a fire or carbon monoxide leak which exactly what I was after. I also like that it has a low-battery alert. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable smoke alarm. 2 batteries also included with it which is just perfect
