Replace worn out cable drums
They are definitely better made than the originals. Perfect fit and deeper lead trough to guide and hold the cable.

Better product than original
Original cable spools have no reinforcement from the hub to the grooved reel. My original collapsed because of this poor design. These new spools have 4 cast reinforcing arms that should stabilize the load and prevent failure if properly installed and adjusted. I just ordered a 2nd pair (there is a Left & Right spool).

Not strong enough for door.
This product is aluminum, not steel. I have an 8 foot wooden door and these are not strong enough to work with the weight of the door.
