brilliant lens
This is a great lens, particularly for street and architectural photography. The wide angle can seem a little unnatural, especially when you are photographing people, it can have an almost "dizzying" effect. It's like taking a picture that not just takes in your natural field of view, but also your entire peripheral vision, which can make for brilliant shots.

Great lens and a must have for all Micro 4/3 users
Wow! This lens is super sharp even wide open! And the lens has a nice solid feel to it, like it breathes quality. But then what do you expect from a Leica? I use this now as my everyday lens when I head out the house just to shoot my surroundings and landscapes. But it is also, believe it or not, pretty sharp at getting nice close shots of flowers. Exceptionnel !
Le piqué et les performances de ce petit 9mm sont proprement exceptionnelles, et m'ont d'ailleurs poussé à revendre mon Leica 8-18mm f2.8, au moins deux fois plus lourd et deux fois plus cher. Par rapport au Leica, la focale, à 9mm, est fixe, mais comme j'utilisais presque toujours le Leica à 8mm, ce n'est pas un problème pour moi. Même chose pour le passage en focus manuel, qui sur le 8-18 peut s'effectuer directement sur l'objectif alors que sur ce 9mm il ne peut se faire que via le boîtier. Mais là encore, ce n'est pas une grosse perte pour moi. Si on ajoute à cela le fait que ce 9mm est résistant à la pluie et à la poussière, et s'affiche à un prix "raisonnable", c'est un choix qu'on ne peut que recommander à tout utilisateur de m4/3 !
