Shimano CN-HG701-11 Narrow 11 Speed XT Integra 116 Chain, Grey

Superb chains. I particularly like those that come with the quick link, which they always have since ordering from Amazon. The quick links require a lot of force to engage but at least you know they're not coming off! Unfortunately the quick link is not reusable. The chains seem really durable and I've never had a defective one. I don't see any reason to buy anything other than a dependable, high quality Shimano chain. I usually pay 25 to 30 quid and I'm not going to risk experimenting with other chains to save a little cash. Actually, I tell a lie... I did buy a KMC chain a while back and.... well, let's just say I had problems. Well, my wife had the problem actually because I fitted it to her bike. So I'll definitely be sticking to Shimano from now on.

Excellent product good quality and price

The chain is amazing and after fitting it the difference is really noticeable. It's my first ever speed link and although it's all working in my mind I think it's going to snap at any point. The reason is that link looks and feels so different to the rest of the chain. It might be just me being paranoid but it looks substandard. Also what is the point of the one time only use speed link when you still need pliers to remove it?

You get what you pay for. Smooth working. Uses a pin not a quick link.

Quality product as expected at very good price. Arrived quickly and in sealed original packages. Very pleased. Now with speed links as opposed to pins which means you need another tool (get the park tool one) but that isn’t the fault of the retailer.

What is to say. Works perfectly on XT 1x11 as expected. Probably could be cheaper, but all the quality chains are priced around this amount.

This chain is the perfect length for a 1x chainset 11-46 with a 36T chainring. There is a missing link to attach the ends, but is a one tine use only, don't be tempted to reuse it as its likely to snap when you need it most or miles from home. Get a spare set of missing links and carry one on your bike, in case of emergencies. Nice and smooth chain shifts with Shimano or Sram components.

È il punto di equilibrio perfetto tra leggerezza, durata e prestazioni di cambiata. I PUNTI DI FORZA: Trattamento Sil-Tec: Questa tecnologia di rivestimento superficiale a bassissimo attrito fa davvero miracoli. La catena scorre in modo incredibilmente silenzioso sui pignoni e sulle corone. La cambiata è fluida, precisa e senza incertezze anche sotto sforzo. Versatilità Totale: Anche se fa parte della serie Ultegra (Road), è ufficialmente approvata da Shimano anche per l'uso MTB (serie XT) ed è rinforzata per resistere alla coppia delle E-Bike. Questa robustezza extra mi dà molta sicurezza sulla durata nel tempo. Quick-Link Incluso: Finalmente Shimano include il falsamaglia (Quick-Link) nella confezione, rendendo l'installazione molto più rapida e semplice rispetto al vecchio perno a rottura. Si monta in un attimo (serve solo una pinza per falsamaglia). Peso Ottimale: È sensibilmente più leggera delle serie inferiori (come la 105), contribuendo a mantenere la trasmissione scattante. UN CONSIGLIO PER LA MANUTENZIONE: Essendo una catena direzionale, fate molta attenzione al montaggio: le scritte Shimano devono essere rivolte verso l'esterno (lato guarnitura) per garantire la corretta fluidità di cambiata. Pulitela regolarmente dal grasso di fabbrica appiccicoso e usate un buon lubrificante secco o umido a seconda delle condizioni. In sintesi: Se avete un gruppo Shimano a 11 velocità, non vale la pena risparmiare pochi euro per serie inferiori.
