I'm so mad I just found out about this tool. 20 years doing fencing and now I find this. Its incredible makes installing the clips a breeze. Works perfect and feels well made.

This is a must purchase for anyone installing clips on a fence. It is durable and makes the clip installation go so much smoother and quicker. I try to make a conscience effort to buy things made in the USA and this little tool did not disappoint.

Buy this brand. We have used these several times over the years. They work great. Much better than cheaper like designed ones. The rubber grip isn’t very durable and comfy to use. We own 5 of these and prefer them to some generic ones.

I put up a 600 LF x 4 ft of field fencing using t-post every 10 feet to keep my dogs inside my inner compound. I put ten fasteners per t-post (the hardware store gave me three per t-post) because it made it a much tighter fence. So about 600 fasteners. That is about the limit for this tool. Reason? It has an eye that you use to tighten one side of the fastener. It began to enlarge after about the 400th fastener and would slip some. But it beats using pliers by a long shot. Really makes a tight connection and way easier than pliers.

Once you get the hang of it, its not bad.

Putting up just over 2,250 linear feet of 48" stock fence with T-bars at eight feet - 5 clips per T-bar. Heavy, braced posts every 48 feet. The Clip Bender worked well only if the fence mesh and the T-bar were in perfect alignment both vertical and left-right. If mesh is on a node of the T-bar a fight is ahead. If the mesh has a vertical wire 3/8" to the left of the T-bar it is going to be a fight to get it to the right. If the locking twist of the vertical wire is on the T-bar forget it. If everything was in perfect alignment - fast and easy. If not, pull out the pliers and rebend the clip. Did it save time? Yes. Wish the grip portion of the handle was twice as big in diameter making it more comfortable to hold and work with.

This is a pretty cool gizmo. Yes, you CAN bend the wire fence clips using other methods, but this thing makes it almost fun, even the 50th one. After a long afternoon building a fence, the Clip Bender showed some wear where the wires are inserted, but nothing that looks like it will ever cause it to cease working. You can bend other wire with it, in case you run out of clips, and it does not take up much room in your tool box. When I was done, I couldn't help but admire how uniform and tight my clips were. Perhaps no one else will notice how neat a job I did, but I know. Just looking at the end result is worth the price alone. Update 12-14-17: I used the heck out of this thing again this fall and I still love it. Sometimes you'll get a batch the the fence clips that aren't made just right and they are a pain to use. Just know that it is the clips and not the tool. Usually after wrestling with a couple of the hard to use ones, I figure out how they have to be bent so that the tool works faster and easier on them. You can also use this thing to clean up stray pieces of wire that migfht otherwise snag something or cut a person or animal.

Tool works okay but after approximately 50 clips the pivot pin came loos and fell out. Have to get a new pin

Worked great at first but the tool broke in half after only 100 clips.
