bought these for the wife. i never shoot without electronic hearing protection. these worked great for her and volume control is nice. if not shooting the audio jack is cool. maybe for hunting?

Not that great all around especially not around alot of machinery. Around gun shots it's okay but honestly still did not perform that well either. The electronic sound isn't too bad but it doesn't pic up on voices very well. Loud sounds cuts off audio. The ear muffs get really uncomfortable after an hr or 2. It's okay but I need something alot better.

So I spent 30-years combined doing 'gun work' for a living and I've used a ton of electronic ear protection and non electronic from months to plugs and these are among the best and for the price? Can't beat it. I bought a set for my wife is going to the concealed handgun course and she loves them. I'll be ordering another set for myself I'm so impressed with these-
