Goliyon Ki Raasleela RAM-LEELA DVD

I am not a big fan of Shakespeare play about unfortunate young lovers from Verona but this recent indian version of the well known story totally convinced me. I enjoyed the movie immensely - beautiful settings (always so impressive arid landscape in Gujarat and possibly or even probably the most romantic city in India - matchless Udaipur); colourful costumes, many of them as they were created for some fashion extravaganza; great dances and songs. But the film would not be what it is without Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone - what a chemistry between them ! They are both not only young and handsome but also incredibly attractive and sexy. Ranveer Singh does not act, he simply is Ram - a total identification with hero and his entry scene with "Tattad Tattad" song is just one of those to be watched over and over again !

I had already seen the film on TV so knew what to expect. The DVD arrived very quickly - however the disc has scratches which would imply it is not a new disc? However it plays ok apart from one place where it sticks for a brief moment. TBH I couldn't be bothered to contact the supplier to query this.

I absolutely love this film but I've only seen it a few times with English subtitles, I was excited when saw it was part of eros now and then quickly disappointed to find a lack of English subtitles :(

I am in India as I am writing this for work. (Gujarat)The music is on the radio all the time so I fell in love with the music first. I downloaded the album and watched the music videos on Youtube.I love the colours and the actor and actress are very good at conveying the Romeo and Juliet even if the story is a bit thin, I bought mostly for the Bollywood and the music :-D

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh meld beautifully in this tale of star-crossed lovers. Running time could have been slightly cut perhaps but it's still a colourful feast for the eyes, a fabulous soundtrack without a single duff tune, some fantastic dance sequences and a heart-rending storyline. Who wouldn't want Ram and Leela to end up together (wherever that might be)?

This film is outstanding, it was breath-taking and funny at the beginning of the film and it's just like Romeo and Juliet as I watched it, but when it got to middleway it had me bawling my eyes out, with people trying to turn the couple against each other. The performances from both actor/actress was fantastic, the chemistry amazing. Recommend this film big time, despite the fact I can't stop watching it, my friends borrowing it and won't give it back yet as the film is that good. Fantastic

this movie is amazing

The movie has many positive aspects, beautiful scenery, fantastic performances, vibrant, colourful, amazing clothes & jewellery, basically its a feast for the eyes.The movie is basically a slight let down for me as the story is really weak.Thanks to the seller for sorting out delivery issues of the product. Unfortunately the first dvd has never been received but overall pleased with the replacement Blu-ray disc.
