Awesome - Exactly What I was looking for
This safe is perfect. First off, packaging was great, and this safe is SOLID. It’s got great overall construction and definitely feels sturdy and difficult to tamper with. It installed really easily, adding a bead of caulk to give it a more finished look. This is perfect to store our belongings when we go out of town. Great safe, would recommend picking yourself up one.

Very easy to install
Just what I wanted in my closet to secure a few items like passports, birth certificates, car titles, etc. It was very simple to install as long as you make sure you have a wall with standard stud separation. In closets sometimes, they might have odd spaced studs, but where I placed this, it was just a drywall utility knife, drill/bit/driver, and tape measure. I used my level to draw straight cutting lines.

Well Built Wall Safe.
I love the quality and ease of use of this wall safe. This thing arrived in a rather flimsy weak box however, and was torn, and beat up, but thankfully the safe was unharmed, and in perfect condition. The thing that I did like about the packaging, was the heavy plastic corner protectors, attached to all corners…SMART! The combination lock works fantastically, and there’s two keys that comes with it in case you forget the combo, or the batteries die. I did have a problem with the operation of the door after the install, however it was an easy fix, and I would like to share this remedy, should you encounter the same problem. After I hung the safe, the door was hard to open; I would have to tug on the handle to get it to open. Don’t tug on the handle, as it should open smoothly, and tugging on that handle could break something. The bottom left corner of the door was rubbing against the casing/frame of the safe. If yours is doing the same, simply add another metal washer (or shim) to the bottom right pivot pin (acts like a hinge). You will need a 6mm Alan Wrench to loosen the top “hinge pin”, then pull up on the door, which releases the lower pin from its seat. Don’t be worried if the top hinge pin falls out, simply put it back in its enclosure. You’ll find two shims there, (under bottom pin where the door sits, and pivots). Simply add another shim (washer), stacking it on top the others, which will raise the door, preventing any rubbing or binding of the door in that area, making a smooth open and close operation. The washer I added was about 1/16” thick -or- thinner. I’m sorry for making this so wordy, ….just trying to help someone, if in the same predicament. Also, this safe fits nicely between the studs, and there will likely be a gap between the side of safe and studs, which could require some material to be added to the stud (on one side) to take up that gap, to mount properly; not all 16” on center wall studs, are perfectly 16” OC, so it’s better the safe be a little too small, than a little too big; It’s easier to buildup the space, than take away material from the wall stud. Measure the space in between (your) studs, and the safe width, and attach (to the stud) whatever thickness filler material needed the take up that gap. Don’t make it too tight though. I’m glad I found this safe, the price, with free shipping, and quality made this a great deal.

For what I need, this is fine wall safe
This wall safe was easy to install and the exterior box and door are reasonably sturdy. The interior shelves are quite flimsy but do hold enough weight for what I need. I added felt to the shelves to keep contents from getting scratched from the metal shelve. I also used the felt to cushion the door and the lock area and it helps with making the closure more silent and a much better fit. The locking keypad is somewhat cheap but since I don't expect to use this daily, I think it will be fine. Overall for the price this safe is good and worth it. I was going to use this for my Remington 870 with 18 inch barrel. It fit but it required all 3 shelves be removed. I wanted to keep some other valuables in the safe so I didn't use it for the shotgun. A Remingtion Tac 13/14 would allow at least one shelve to be used.

Great In wall Safe
Great product. Heavy enough to protect, but not so heavy that you can't install it. Great value for the money. Easy to open and fair amount of storage.

A severly damaged used item that had been repacked without any keys or hardware sold as new
Safe had obviously been repacked and resold as new with a re-taped and damaged shipping box to boot - it had no paperwork, packaging materials, keys, hardware, etc and the safe door was bent inwards as if someone had crushed it in to the frame by jumping up and down on it out of frustration. The safe itself is very solid so there is no way that type of damage could have occurred any place in transit with it in the box. The factory shipping box was also reused several times and re-tapped in several different layers and the plastic bag which I am guessing the safe may have originally been wrapped in was stuffed in to a corner of the box and stuck inside with even more packing tape.As for the safe itself obviously there is no way to test or open the safe to program a code without keys - as others have mentioned in their reviews this seems to be a pattern. The safe itself seemed to be of good quality and weighed about 50lbs but that is about all the good things I can find to say. Would not recommend this brand simply due to my experience and reading the same experience had by others with the same issues. Thankfully I checked the safe out before I cut a hole in the drywall.

Great Safe!
The safe fits perfectly in between studs spaced 16" apart. To make the install easier (as I installed it solo), I built a ledge at the base of the cutout with a 2x4 to rest the safe on. I then attached the bolts to the wall studs from the inside of the safe. Hardest part was making sure the ledge I built was level.

fits between studs perfect
great safe for mounting in wall if studs are 16 on center fits perfect. has multiple ways to gain access into it, only wish the shelves and back had a felt to it. I went out to a fabric store and purchased some felt cloth and cut it to fit.
