Hush Puppies Janessa, Women's Ballet Flats

These were lovely but a bit small, but the leather is so very soft it's only taken me a week to wear them in and stretch them. Yes I would buy again and to be honest I really don't think I'd get a larger size as they would end up too big. I'm normally a high street size 4 narrow foot

I tried these Hush Puppies on in a shop and found that the size 7 was too small and the size 8 was too big, I think I am probably around size 7.5. I was disappointed as I really liked the style of the shoe and the leather and inside were soft and comfy. Having read previous reviews that said the shoes come up about half a size too small I wondered whether the stock I tried on in the shop were newer and Hush Puppies have changed their sizing slightly because of feedback about the half size difference. I was pleased to discover that I was right as the size 8 I bought from Amazon fit nicely! So I guess at some point Amazon will move on to the newer stock too and the sizing will be more accurate but for me it worked out nicely having them come up small!

Comfortable, nice looking quality shoes. Quite a drawback represents the sizing - in my size (6,5) they are too tight and short (unwearable), in size 7 they are large enough, perhaps rather too large, considering the leather will give way in the course of time. In spite of that I decided to keep them as there are not so many good simple soft black leather ballet flats on the market.So far I have been wearing them very short time and usually on naked feet and they are super-comfortable and thanks to the higher heel part do not slip. Once they start slipping down, and I am sure they will one day, I will either pad the heel part or insert a thin insole which will not harm the comfort of wearing. Pity that one has to find ways how to wear shoes made by such a brand and sold at such price.

I've often noticed that ballet flats can be surprisingly small compared to 'normal' shoes so having read some of the previous reviews here I decided to try buying a size 5 and, even though I'm usually a size 4, these fit me great so I would definitely recommend buying a size up.Ignoring the size issue though, they're a great pair of shoes!They needed hardly any breaking in and I now wear them to walk 45mins to work and back each day for which they're holding up really well, so far. Another reviewer suggested buying some insoles to keep them fresh, which I think may be wise so I have done, but in terms of comfort it's not particularly necessary.

Gutted, gorgeous shoes but way too small. Not willing to preserve as some suggest and hope they'll give. More like a size 6 than a size 8. Do I send for a bigger size and hope they fit but what if they give and end up too big? This is not a normal way to sell/shop for shoes. Can't find an alternative that looks as good or as comfortable to wear, gutted.

Really nice shoes and they would've been really comfortable if they hadn't felt a size too small. I am a standard size 5, sometimes needing a 4.5 in some shops but Hush Puppies have always fitted me perfectly so I was disappointed to have to return them.**Update**I really liked these shoes so I ordered a size 6 which fit well initially but became a little bit baggy after a couple of wears. They were still really comfy though. The main problem with them now, a couple of months on, I discovered that in the rain, they can be incredibly slippery on some pavement surfaces - I hurt my knee discovering this... They look really 'grippy' and rubbery so I wasn't really expecting that.They are so comfortable and look so nice that I'd love to get another pair but the downsides keep putting me off!

I really like these shoes ..so much I've bouoght a second pair for when these wear out, and also have a white pair.I love the colour matched low profile sole - makes them look very neat. They're extremely comfortable to wear and also to walk in as the innersole is cushioned.These also make great houseshoes too as they're lightweight, flexible, quiet and I can wear them all day in total comfort.Hush Puppies seem to replace styles fairly frequently, so I try to get particularly good ones while they're available.

Great shoes, soooo comfortable. I'm a 61/2 to 7, medium fit. Got size 7 after reading other reviews that they are a bit on the small side, and they really are! I think it's the big toe area....I don't think the shoe designers of these shoes have realised that the big toe extends more!!! They are otherwise great shoes, and I'm keeping them....the leather is so soft that I'm sure that they will 'give' in the big toe area! Hopefully without blowing out the front of the shoe...if that happens Amazon will be getting them back. BTW, I had a shoe shop for many years and know what I'm talking about x
