Worth the money, should have gotten this sooner:)!!!!!!!
I have a 2012 JK Wrangler 4dr and I was completely surprised by this programmer but glad I purchased this brand versus others because there are no issues at all with this tuner. I run the 91 octane program using 2/3 tank of 89 octane and 1/3 E85, I never would have thought the jeep could produce this type of power and increased MPG. I went from 16.8 to 18mpg, the sensitivity of the wireless throttle is ideal, and it takes care of all the other changes I want to do. I wish I would have purchased this sooner, this is NOT a waste of money but an investment because the return of better MPG. I run 4.10 gears, 2" lift, 33" tires (soon to have 35"), Banks cold air intake, aFe 2.5 mid pipe (keep the loop), and Borla single exhaust. When I loaded the 91 octane program in 2 days I went from 16.8 to 18.1mpg and none of the driving time was highway.

Great Upgrade
Very noticeable performance increase with the first tune I tried (91 Octane) and the Jeep is fine still using 89 octane. It offers many options including reading/clearing codes, gear ratio/tire size changes etc. I've also seen a slight increase in mileage without even trying the "economy" tune. Good value for the money.

Don't believe all of the description
I purchased this for a 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It did recognize the ECU and allow me to change the engine settings to increase horsepower and fuel economy. Unfortunately it does not allow you to adjust the speedometer for larger tires which is one of the main reasons I bought it. I would have returned it but by the time I was able to use it, the return window had expired.

Good product
Bought this for my '12 JKU. Have used it multiple times after the initial set up to read and clear codes. Won't need to buy again because I won't get rid of this one!Strongly recommend this for any JKU owner if you are looking for a basic tune, plug and play, and clear codes programmer.

2012 Jeep Wrangler JKU
So far so good. At first there wasn't a tune for my jeep. The company created one and emailed me within a week to say they created one. My speedo was 5 mph slow at 70 before the tune. After the tune it was 3mph fast at 70. I think they got the tune close but not spot on and my tires are 34 " tall exactly. My mpgs went from 13.5 ish back up to 16.5 after the tune. I would buy it again. I would give it a 5 if my speedo was back on. Shipped good. Package was good. Company created tune within a week.

Easy to use, massive help in performance, worth every penny
(This is being used on my 2dr 2012 Wrangler Sport X 3.6L manual)Man oh man, I did not expect this to do much beyond correcting my speedo and (eventually) correcting my axle gears. Oh how I was wrong.I've never had a tuner before, I went ahead with this one after reading a lot of great reviews on it and decided to go with it cause... well, I just hoped it was worth it. I received this shortly after having lifted my Jeep with a 2.5" lift and 35s... but the 3.6L manual comes with 3.21 gears, something that makes negotiating the uneven roads of the South Texas Hill Country somewhat of a pain on a daily basis. As mentioned before I eventually regeared, but the gears were on the way and to be installed even after that. So when I got the tuner in I went ahead and threw it on if for no other reason to correct my really inaccurate speedo. I corrected tire size and then set the thing to the Mileage X setting and took it for a spin.Holy--- THIS is the MILEAGE setting!? Stock 3.21 gears still at this point on a 3.6L manual and it drove a million times better with just this tuner (still convinced there is magic in this thing). After re-gearing it and tuning for the new 4.56 gears my Jeep has some real bite to it! And I haven't even tried either of the performance settings yet!So is it worth it? Absolutely. Also it says don't store in vehicle cause heat will hurt it. I don't know about that. Like I said, I'm in South Texas, and it's Summer now, it's over 100 degrees every day and I have busted out the tuner from where I keep it in the glove box a few times and it works great. I suspect this may be an advisement from leaving it in direct sunlight and having to not deal with returns/RMAs from those issues. Admittedly it does not feel very solid, so I handle it like glass, but I don't worry about keeping it in the Jeep.

Fair tuner, but needs some tweaking.
It's decent, but their throttle map is for an automatic and will make a standard have a very, very jerky throttle response. It's either accelerating or decelerating, there's literally no middle ground so cruising is nearly impossible.I did find out that you can manually tell it to use the stock throttle map, which is what they claim to be the fix ("revert to stock" isn't a fix to me, perhaps I'd like better throttle response without needing a new driveline after a few years due to the lurching?).Still, it will fix the issues with the speedometer and larger tires (although it isn't perfect, with my tire settings it is still off by about 2mph) and provide marginally increased horsepower, so it mostly does what it claims and for an automatic Jeep I'm sure it would be fine.

Lifted 2013 JKU, Feels like a different Truck!
Used this on my JKU 2013, with a 3.5 Rough Country lift and 33' tires. Not only did I get notable power gains, but improved mileage. It's more fun to drive and more fuel efficient. Get this.

This is the part that is really fun! I have wanted a SC tuner for years ...
First, I am not going to do a review of the technical aspects of the Superchips (SC) programmer. There are quite a few Jeep forums that do a thorough job of this. Just use your preferred search engine and enter “jeep forum superchips”.Second, do NOT rely on Amazon to confirm that you are getting the correct SC model for your particular vehicle. I have found several errors in their recommendations. The 3872 fits my 2007 JKU (Amazon said it didn't) but not all Jeeps. Do your research at the SC site. Also, research the difference between the FlashCal and the FlashPaq to ensure you get what you need. The FlashCal does basic adjustment for some settings on your vehicle's ECU (like tire size), but doesn't have the ability to do engine and transmission tweaking. This is the part that is really fun!I have wanted a SC tuner for years but I didn't want to take the chance of voiding my warranty (now expired). SC recommends that you tune your vehicle back to stock before every visit to a dealership. This is to ensure they don't overwrite your programming and make you tuner inoperable, but also in the perhaps unlikely event your tuner causes a malfunction. The dealership might blame your tuner and refuse to honour the warranty. I'm not so sure that returning your vehicle to stock eliminates all evidence of the changes your tuner made. Though technically the dealership would have to prove the changes were what caused the problem, they can afford better lawyers than I can and I didn't want to take the chance. You may feel differently. I was also doubtful that it was worth $400 to buy the tuner. That buys a lot of gas! I checked the price on Amazon every couple weeks and was surprised one day to see it listed for $249. That was the only time I ever wanted “one click ordering” on Amazon. Early Christmas present for me. Next day though, Amazon cancelled my order claiming a vendor pricing error. Am ticked, but did kind of think it was too good to be true. Best price I have ever found before this is about $379. So, what is the correct price? As of Oct 9 its listed at $269 but out of stock. Oh well, nothing ventured...put in my order. No indication how long it would take to ship. As they don't charge your CC till they ship - why not? For a month, I was expecting a cancellation email but it never came. All told, took about 6 weeks to receive my tuner, but since its now priced at $421, I can live with that too!My Wrangler is a 6 speed manual so I didn't get any benefit from the auto transmission tweaking. I'm kind of at a loss why anyone would want a Wrangler with an AT. To me, its kind of like taking a mini-van to a rock crawl. Different strokes.Updated the tuner with Spark. Didn't work on my new Windows 10 machine, but did work on my old Win 10 computer. SC says its probably an anti-virus or firewall issue but the settings and software are the same on both. With Windows, be happy and don't ask questions if it works. Doesn't work at all with Apple OS apparently. First update failed for an unknown reason. Second time success. May have been a bad USB port. Wanted to try an easy update at first so adjusted the tire size to correct my speedo. Took about 2 minutes with easy instructions and no problems. OK, now for the fun settings. Grief! Two failed updates that each took about 10 minutes. Turns out, when the tuner says to turn on ignition but not start the engine, I was turning it to accessory. Got E4F error. After a little research on a Wrangler forum, I turned ignition as far as it could go without starting engine. Lights flashed, bells rang – this is good! Installed 87 octane tune. Though its about 10 p.m. and past my bedtime, got to go for a test run.Wow! Seat-of-the-pants gauge is definitely impressed. Much more power/acceleration off the line. Now stomping the pedal does more than just suck gas. It will take me a few hundred klicks to see how the gas mileage is affected. Most users report a modest 3-5 MPG (US) improvement. Can't wait to try it in the bush next spring. Next will try 91 performance tune then econo mode. Crawl mode is mostly for AT adjustments.Overall, definitely worth $269. Is it worth $421? Your call. Bear in mind, you are paying mostly for the research SC has done into optimum tuning as the hardware itself is pretty simple. You won't get a local mechanic to do all these changes and testing for $400 and you won't have the option to switch quickly to Tow, Performance or Econo mode. Overall, the 3.8 liter Jeep engines are pretty unimpressive but with SC I'm no longer tempted to upgrade to the Pentastar.

Very easy to use and reprogram the 2011 Jeep Wrangler
Very easy to use and reprogram the 2011 Jeep Wrangler. Power and driveability improved significantly using the 91 octane setting. No more flat spots in the power curve and far more torque at low rpm ranges. Fuel consumption is up by about 10 % at 70 mph on the highway, but well worth the cost. We coupled this with a K & N intake and the overall result was very good.

Worth the money

Well worth the money
This is by far the best mod I've done to my jeep so far! Will pay for itself in no time. I've noticed a way better throttle response and a 3mpg increase over the last 4 tanks of gas. I can actually use 6th gear again.

This product was a waste of money. It didn't improve my Jeep performance at all.
