My 7-year-old granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed working with this clay. It was smooth, lightweight, and easy to sculpt. There was an online app that gave clear and easy directions on how to make the figures shown. Great toy!

I grabbed this for my 2y/o grand daughter and I to play with but the medium is better suited for older kids that are looking to keep their creationsThe beloved pig in the photo (that gave her big joy) had his eyes removed on her very next visit 🤭On the medium itself…I love working with it. Its texture feels soothing. Id say it’s similar to kinetic sand which is awesome in the tactile sense.It softens quick when I’m working with it & allows for limitless imagination.It also dries pretty quickly & the finished pieces are pretty crack resistant. (I didn’t have the pig long enough to give a time-frame)The clean up was easy peasy. The colors are GORGEOUS, & vibrant. They even have an app with instructions on how to make the animals.It would make a great gift, and for sure I will be buying again from this company.

This was a gift for a 6 year old girl. She loved the kit. Her mother was a high school art teacher and she said the tutorial was excellent. I will gift this set again!

Hey clay has been a family favorite for years. Learn a new clay building skill and have fun at the same time. This skill can lead to lots of other art skills- pottery jewelry bead making etc. nice to get my grand kids away from tv and video games

I took a chance on this kit because my grands are 13 and 18 but knowing they love crafts of all kinds I went ahead and purchased it. The kit comes with everything you need to create all the "animals" pictured 3 times. Quotes because there are several different kits and not all are animals. You download an app that walks you thru each step. You can be as creative as you choose to be with each step. The clay is very lightweight and clean. The clay dries very durable and light. When dry it feels like it's made of foam and not conventional clay so they are also not breakable. Surprisingly the 18 year old was the most enthusiastic about the kit and wanted to be sure to make all the animals before flying back home. That said the kit could easily be done by much younger kids. The pkg states 6 but I know a few grands who could do this at age 3 or 4 if they are used to crafting with clay. Love it!!

My child loved these. There was little to no mess and the creations last.

I am writing because my most recent order of Hey Clay was below the quality I expected. My grandchildren loved the Hey Clay Animals so much that I bought it again. I just opened it up this weekend and in half of the containers the clay was stuck to the lid and would not come off without some effort. This was very disappointing.

This a very light air like clay. My kids love the app but the clay didn’t stick together very well. So she gave up a little early due to frustration with the clay. We will try again with more practice it might be user error.
