Nicely made, fully compatible with other makes, a useful addition to a train set

My son picked this to buy to add to his Brio train set from his amazon faves. It arrived within 2 days in perfect nick, and it does exactly what you would expect a toy level crossing to do - the gates open and close smoothly, blocking off the "rails" or the road and it fits well with brio track and trains.The toy base is made from wood and is finished to a good standard - the gates are good quality plastic.I think this will last a while, but I'd suggest you don't go standing on it....Great value, nice addition to a train set, but not exactly the most exciting toy in its own right.

Got this for my grandson who loves adding it to his train track layout every time he builds it. He's a clever 2½ year old and works most things out easily.

Really solid, excellent like most bigwigs products

I bought my 2 year old boy a load of Bigjigs stuff. He loves trains.These level crossing might have to wait for a year or so though because the gates move and I feel could get broken on if he were to sit on it. I think I could unscrew the crossing gates and let him use it with them removed but I'm choosing to wait.No problems with the product but maybe better for older kids who will know how to treat toys with care.

Love the actual product, happy with delivery of product and quality of product.... BUT.... one of our 'gates' broke on day 2 after Christmas!! Not good if there are clumsy toddler feet padding around your home. Someone has obviously trodden on and gate broke off entirely (will try gluing to see if I can temporarily fix it) and may buy another some day, but need to wait until my little ones are less clumsy... Great toy, but fragile too. Would be fine if you have a table that the trainset is kept on or all your little ones are 3+. :-)

Lovely level crossing grandson loves it

I opened the package as soon as UPS delivered it, so my 3-yr-old was initially playing with this crossing by itself on the coffee table - he must have driven about 30 cars over it, opened and closed the gates, and made trains and cars take turns. Sometime later the crossing was finally installed on an actual train table with track, and I won't say it's his absolute favorite item (tunnel and crane win), but it's pretty close.It's been in almost daily use for months now (by both kids) and so far shows no sign of wear. I thought the gates felt very loose when I first "played" with it, but again my 3-yr-old has no problem operating it, and neither kid has broken it! They are no looser now than when the crossing was brand new.My only negative is the road - because of the way the gates open/close, the road curves awkwardly across this piece, instead of going straight across it. However, (surprise!) my kids could care less about that! The road is about as wide as a two-lane road for matchbox cars. "STOP!" is printed in the left lane at each gate, because BigJigs is English. Again, my kids could care less.Other positives - the connections fit nicely with my other track (we have a very random assortment of Thomas, Brio, M&D, and who knows what else), though not very snug. The wood is very smooth, and the aforementioned matchbox cars can drive over the ramps very easily.

Passage à niveau très joli, de belles couleurs, les dessins sont bien faits, l'emballage (dans 1 boite) va me permettre de le recouvrir de papier cadeaux individuellement et à mon fils de les ouvrir au fur et à mesure

It's perfect my 3 year old son is obsessed with trains and this is currently his favorite part

It's not his FAVORITE train set addition. I don't think he understands its a car crossing and just likes how the gates open and close. However, it's totally what I expected and serves its purpose!
