I’ve tried a lot of low sodium and no sodium products. This one is amazing! I sprinkle it on unsalted chips, use it on eggs, and even add it to my low sodium pasta dishes. It has a ton of flavor! The best way I can describe it is a creamy and tangy flavor. Kind of like a sour cream and onion flavor, but you truly do get a salty flavor from it. If you’re on the fence about purchasing, take the plunge and buy it. Yes, it’s expensive. But when you’re on a very low sodium diet, finding something as amazing as this seasoning is worth the splurge to add back flavor to your low sodium foods.

I have been caring for my elderly father for the past few years and he is on a low sodium diet. He has been using no salt to season his food but it is has potassium in it. He now started new medicine that he must also avoid potassium as well. I found this Benson's salt substitute and it's a God send because it is both sodium and potassium free. The only thing is that it's a little bit expensive. That is why I only gave it 4 stars. Thankfully now my father can season his food to taste and be happy.

Pros: I've been using Benson's Table Tasty salt substitute for about three years, and it's the only salt substitute that has kept me (a saltaholic) away from salt. I love the flavor and there is absolutely no aftertaste. I don't know how they do it, but it does taste salty. The Cons: I find I have to use it liberally to taste the "saltiness" and it is expensive. Also, you probably won't want to use it while cooking because the flavor tends to weaken during the cooking process. I sprinkle it on while eating at the table. I really do like it, and it's certainly worth to me, so I give the flavor 5 stars.

Love the flavor, goes great on many food items. I don’t miss the salt at all. I bought 5 additional shakers and gave them to friends and relatives. So far, everybody loves this product. Going to order a one pound bulk bag so I can refill my use at home shaker.

I really like this seasoning. I have spend so much money trying different seasoning just to decide this is my go to seasoning. You do need to sprinkle a lot more than usual on your food otherwise it will not have a taste. I will be ordering more.

This is a great product, I love that it’s low sodium!

Doesn’t mimic salt entirely but its definitely salty tasting so be careful to not use too much at first. It’s easy to over salt! Also it has a bouillon flavor which may not go well on some things.
