This is really quite good. The complexity is truly remarkable, start to finish is a journey in itself. Decent staying power and the bottle seems to be getting better with use and time.Let it “macerate” as they say on the RedditEdit to add: I’ve had this bottle for a few months now, and can easily say I love this fragrance, so much so that I bought a 50ml of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid to wear for special occasions. I was floored when I finally tried the real stuff because Black Origami is indistinguishable from the original to my nose.I need to note: when I first got my bottle, the longevity was absolutely terrible, I wore it only at home a few hours before bed because that’s all it would last. A month later, it became ‘acceptable’ for longevity, and much deeper. After two months my wife was folding my freshly cleaned laundry and I slammed by an amazing smell when she shook out a T-Shirt. I had her pass me the shirt, and sure enough it was Black Origami.Its lasting power is insane, its depth is amazing, it even replicates going from earthy floral to sweet, clean, dark musk over time.Because I can’t tell the difference I bought three more bottles of this stuff and wear as much as I want without fear of emptying my prized Tom Ford.I cannot recommend this stuff enough. Just give it time to mature, use it occasionally while it’s short lived. After enough time you’ll be amazed —or Black Orchid is not for you

I thought Id need to macerate this before enjoying it.I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I LOVE it right out of the box, as soon as it arrived.Its sweet, and I smell the incense and some dark fruits as well as creamy depth.This is a SEXY SEXY SEXY frangrance scent.It definitely leans feminine but Id say it would be safe on men as well, as long as they want to smell like a delicious, sultry, dark goddess.When I spray this on me, I feel like a dark and sultry vampire goddess who has climbed out of her crypt at dusk to attend a Vampire Royalty ball. I feel beautiful, and sexy and yummy and omg I just want to ROLL in this stuff.Im still going to macerate for 6 months, just to help the notes smooth out. Im never sorry for macerating frags, especially the Arabian ones which can be extremely strong and screechy upon arrival before maceration.I wish they made this into a fabric softener scent. Its gorgeous.

I have never smelled the TF but this scent is EVERYTHING. From the first spray, I couldn't stop smelling my hand. It is deep, dark and sweet. It feels like a luxury date night in a high class setting. You know like being wined and dined while someone plays classical violin and the soft tinkling of crystal glasses surround you. It is very romantic to my nose. The scent lasts for a very long time. I got 6 hours of longevity before I needed to reapply. The quality is phenomenal. Even the bottle is solid, well constructed and looks classy. It is not a fresh scent by any means. This is an evening scent or winter day. It may be too heavy for summer.

Well Tom Ford Black orchid is one of my favorite fragrances. I was looking for something less expensive to wear daily. I found this one and for like around $26 it is worth a blind buy. The presentation is typical Maison Alhambra/Lattafa the bottle is ok, the sprayer/atomizer it is ok and does its job. Now to the scent, I have the authentic Tom Ford and I am comparing it side by side. I want to say it is 90% similar, the reason I say this is because I don’t get the fresh dirt as much from it and the orchid feels more plain not rich. The chocolate note is weaker. It is like a two dimensional black orchid when the Tom Ford is 3D more rich, more deep. It is not a bad fragrance at all and it will give you an idea what black orchid is about but the authentic is way better and it projects and lasts extremely well. Black origami’s projection is weaker so I am guessing longevity is much less than the original. As with other Lattafa and Maison Alhambra fragrances that I have, breaking the seal and spraying letting oxygen inside the bottle and letting it sit for a month or so sometimes they improve on scent, projection and strength. Bottom line is that if you don’t want to spend the money on the Tom Ford this one is a good alternative.

Day 1 this smelled like fennel seeds and cow pasture. I hated it and capped it and put it away for a couple of weeks to come back and see if it matured a bit.It... ki dof did. There's at least some flowers added in now. I'm going to let it sit for a couple months and return to it later on but for now this is giving sweet grass, mossy forest floor, and a not fresh manure smell I can't shake.Pros: the longevity right out the bottle is amazing, just don't spray on neck cause you'll go nose blind. It's warm, a bit overwhelming at first but then dies down to a sweet nature in fall and a storm smell (to me for now). Still a darker fragrance so not a waste of money.

Wow!! I love Tom Ford’s Black Orchid and Black Origami, in my opinion is a 1:1 clone. The smell is so dark, sweet, earthy, a little floral and spicy! It projects great and has good silage, better than TF’s version. Anyway, if you love Black Orchid, give this a try. For less than $20, what do you have to lose?!

I fell in love with the original scent, so when I saw this for $20 (what I paid for a sample of the original) and read the reviews, I could not pass it up. I am SO GLAD I ordered this. It truly does smell like the original. It doesn't last quite as long but for the price, I am happy to apply twice a day instead of once. Oh, and my boyfriend is quite picky, and this has his 5 star approval! I am just so impressed with the amount you get and the supreme quality for such a reasonable price. I will be buying again and again!

In my opinion it smells like a basic Arabian fragrance similar to Raghba which is cheaper and stronger. Not my scent profile to wear, this was a bad blind buy, lucky it's an inexpensive fragrance. It also only last 4 to 5 hours on my skin, projection is moderate with 6 sprays.
