I received this product yesterday and it came sealed with an exterior sticker and a pull tab on the jar. It states that it doesn’t need to be refrigerated, but considering it’s not pasteurized, I’m not so sure it won’t go bad, which for the $20 it usually costs would be a waste if you’re only going to use this honey sparingly; if you’re using it daily, I don’t see it lasting more than a few weeks because it’s only 8oz. As for the product itself, it’s a cloudy/milky yellow color that Manuka honey is known for having. The taste, however, is not like anything I expected: Sweet, yet herbal/medicinal—it almost tastes like mint or menthol. Apparently, this is how it typically tastes. I noticed after eating it, though, I did have a tingling sensation in my throat—the type you get when you have an allergy. It eventually subsided, but it might be because of how raw this honey is and pollination. Unfortunately, I have really bad seasonal allergies in the spring. I will continue to monitor my reaction to this honey and see if it helps with some health issues I’ve been having. Update: I used some in the summer with no issues, so it may have just been my immune system being in overdrive in the spring that caused the initial reaction. Overall, I didn’t notice that it did anything for me, aside from expanding my palette.

Very nice honey. It a bit expensive but I might reorder sometimes.
