Incredibly confused
I've rarely tested a product where I don't really know what it's supposed to do. Is this supposed to heat soup? Keep soup hot? Both? Blend the soup? Is it a blender? Not quite sure what I'm supposed to do with it. I'm all for innovation and combining 2 useful kitchen appliances together is genius but better directions are essential if you're going to create something new.

It does what it's supposed to do
It does what it's supposed to do. But I'm not sure it's worth the price. I guess that's personal preference. It heats, it blends, its big, it's awkward, it gets hot on the outside.

Exceeded expectations.
Not only can it be used to blend smoothies, blend, and heat soups, etc., it can also be used to boil water in the chunky mode. In this mode, no blending and only heating takes place and boiled water in a very quick <5 minutes. Have been looking for a hot pot of <1000 watts to use in an off grid application that is recharged by solar. It's 900w rating will draw about 75 amps from the battery bank for about 5 mins to heat water for whatever purpose I need. That's only about 6 1/4 amp hours which are easily replaced by solar. It works, but have to beef up the AWG wire connections between the inverter and the battery bank. The pot is a little large and must be filled between 1.2 and 2 liters to be used.

Duplicates existing, commonly owned means to make soup. All for $105.
What is this thing? Forget its name (soup maker) and let’s look at what it is and what it does. What is it?1. Electric kettle;2. Blender. To me, in its simplest of terms, this is an electric kettle with a blender attachment.Capacity: 2 liters. Do not be misled by its size. Note on the product image the 2-liter marking on the pot. That is the maximum, fill line.“Cooking” time is preset depending on the mode: 24 – 30 minutes.Modes (Functions): smooth soup; chunky soup; compote (fruits - think applesauce): blend (think blender); re-heat; clean.Smooth soup: slice/dice the ingredients, add spices and whatever liquid (water, milk, juice, etc.); press start and come back in 30 minutes. At its completion, the cooked soup will be blended to a purée.Chunky soup: same as above but slice/dice the ingredients to the desired cooked size. Finished in 24 minutes WITHOUT blending.Compote: basically, the same as smooth soup except for fruits. Finished in 25 minutes.Blend: an uncooked, 3-minute mode that, . . . er . . . blends – whatever you want blended.Reheat: a 20-minute heating cycle.Clean: a 4-minute cycle that claims to clean the jug automatically.Dos and don’ts: precook meat; no frozen ingredients – everything at room temp; volumes MUST be between the min. and max. levels; the jug will get hot during cooking (like a stovetop pan); cool jug before making a second batch; cannot use for other than making soup, compote, blender drinks. One oddity: “The soup maker is not suitable for use with packet, carton, canned, or other prepared soups and must not be used to reheat any previously prepared soups.” Got that? However, the soup maker has a reheat mode: “Re-heat function works in 20 minutes to make the soup hot again.” Not only that, but the included recipe book also includes a recipe that calls for condensed soup. Well, can I reheat soup or use condensed soup or not?MY IMPRESSIONMaking “chunky” soup with this gizmo is akin to making soup with any pot, slow cooker, Instant Pot, name your pan: add ingredients, liquid, and cook for however long. This soup maker cooks at preset temperatures and, after a preset time, shuts off automatically.Making “smooth” soup with this gizmo is akin to making chunky soup, as above, then blending it after it is done cooking.Making “compote” with this gizmo is akin to making chunky or smooth soup using fruit.“Blending” with this gizmo is akin to blending with any blender. However, this gizmo is limited in blending speed (one speed only) and time (3 minutes only), then press blend again, and again, and again.“Reheat” with this gizmo is designed to “make your soup hot again” using a preset time of twenty minutes. Ah . . . , what’s that mean? Reheat your just finished (warm) soup? Take it out of the refer and reheat it? To me, it is akin to popping a bowl in a microwave for a couple of minutes, at the most, or reheating it in a pot on a stove for five or so minutes.“Cleaning” with this gizmo is akin to wiping out the insides with a soapy dishcloth or sponge except that the added soapy water is "blended" with, hopefully, enough friction to dislodge debris to be rinsed away.As of this writing (June 27, 2023), this soup maker cost $105. As of this writing, there are seven ratings with reviews – six 5-star and one 4-star. Believe what you will but a very well-known site that reviews the reviewers, gives these reviews an “F” and the company rating a “D.”For me, this gizmo does nothing better, quicker, or more conveniently than my existing soup-making efforts – unless one considers the unnecessary step of separately blending soup to produce a purée, a meaningful or pragmatic benefit. My suggestion: look past the name (soup maker) and appreciate just what this gizmo does (or does not do) and ask yourself, “Is this worth $105? One review praised this gizmo because it served as a kettle for boiling water. Yes it does – but for between $15 and $30 you can get electric kettles on Amazon all day long. Why pay $105?Whether it is a pot on the stove, microwave oven, or some type of electric cooker, everyone already can make soup as easily and conveniently as this gizmo. $105: that’s a lot of pizza and beer.

Works great, takes up a lot of space
This thing is heavy duty! Not in a bad way, it is well made out of high quality stainless steel. However, it is extremely versatile. It blends, heats, boils, purees. There are many different things this can be used for. Even if you want to make a large pot of coffee or tea, reheat in this pot and put out with the spigot so you don't have to keep going back and forth and making pots of coffee. Homemade pasta sauce, keep it chunky or pureed, its up to your preference. It's like a hot jumbo sized blender, which even has a cleaning button. This is not simply for reheating soup, you throw all of your ingredients in, and let it do it's magic! Has a 2L capacity, no longer have to find a big enough pot to cook the soup in. I love this thing! I definitely recommend!

Easy to use!
This machine is super easy to use. It makes great soups and for me, I'm also using it to make hummus. I use the blend function to make my special blend of hummus. It makes the job much easier than when I use a traditional blender. I'd also use it to make Chile Verde if the pot was bigger. I like how easy it is to use and to me, the sky is the limit when it comes to the different things it can be used for. Great product! Enjoy!

Muchas funciones
