As a beginner, should I buy dreadnaught or concert size?

What type of strings will go well with this guitar?

I am happy with D'Addario EJ16 (phosphor bronze) light strings. There is plenty of bass and midrange available on this large sloped-shoulder dreadnought guitar, so you can probably get good use out of 80/20 strings or Martin Retro.

I just received this guitar this evening. It sounds amazing but there seems to be some cloudy spots in the lacquer. Does anyone else notice it?

If you means that there are wood lines darker than other that would be normal, if you means the finishing lacquer has spots that doesn't shine as the rest of the guitar then that would be a defective guitar, sometimes it just takes a bit of guitar wax to fix them, if you don't want to risk doing that then you needs to take pics that shows the defect and contact Amazon by phone or chat, they will ask to send the pics and then they will offer a return for a replacement or a refund, but you could also negotiate a discount and keep the guitar. That's what I did when my guitar came with a dent, instead of the return hassle I got a discount and kept the guitar.
