I bought this to keep my dog from going in my basement as he has a bit of a marking problem and I have carpet downstairs and wanted to keep the smell out. (I hate the smell of dog urine) Definitely did the job to keep my dog out. I did install it with a bit of a space at the bottom because my dog's not that adventurous but my friend's dog was. Adhesive peeled some of my paint but overall a good value for product

This product absolutely sucks. It is flimsy, the sticky stuff ruined my walls when I put it up and it did not stay at all. It can easily come off the walls with no pressure and constantly falls down. Would not buy if you are using it to protect your child or dog from something 0/10

Easy to install. Looks good. Maybe I didn't have one long enough, but the dogs squeezed/ pushed themselves through the side.I am going to trying it in a different area and see if that helps.

We bought this to keep our high-energy, 6 month Maltipoo from going up the stairs. He was small enough to squeeze between the mesh and the wall, so we made it as tight as possible which put too much pull on the included double stick tape. This caused the tape to pull the paint off the wall! We then opted to pay more money to get a solid plastic gate which only worked for us for about three weeks because then our dog grew enough to climb over it! This is why our Maltipoo is named Scrappy! Lol!

It letterpress my 35 lb puppy from going upstairs. I really love how minimal this dog gate is and when I want to take it down, just the hooks are left. I also love how the hooks are the kind that pull down when you don't want them on your wall anymore and don't leave a mark on the paint. I did have a little neighbor girl try to jump over the gate instead of unhooking it like I've taught my kids to do. And the hook tore off the wall, taking some paint with it. But if you use it the right way I think it won't leave a mark.

Did not work for what I intended. Would have to use screws to make it sturdy enough for animals not to break through. The glue backing on the hooks didn’t hold well at all.

This product did was way too big, using their own measurements as a guide. It dropped down and was easily knocked off the hooks, there was no elasticity. Too top it off, it damaged my walls in all four spots with their “no damage tape.” This is a hastily put together package of unrelated items that are then sold as a dedicated pet barrier. Do not fall for this.

If you have a dog that you don’t want going up the stairs, this will do the trick! It’s easy to hide away when not using, and it is sturdy! My dog didn’t even think twice about trying to go through this.
