Kremona NG-1 Passive Piezo Pickup for Classical Guitar

Installed Kremona pickup on my hand made flamenco guitar, and to be honest, it does the job beautifully! The quality of sound is amazing considering the simplicity of this pickup. Others have mentioned that the pickup is fragile, I certainly do have to watch my playing style as I perform quite heavy going rhythmic strumming and have to be mindful of where my hand is playing. The lead is what it is. There's a company called 'Bright Onions' in the U.K. that make all sorts of pedals and specialist leads for the music industry. I guess if I'm really bothered by this lead will contact them to supply a better one. Don't be afraid of buying this pickup, it does the job and does it well. If you play classical guitar you're in for a treat! I will be purchasing another Kremona pickup, but this time for my Kremona ukulele. 5 stars, no hesitation whatsoever!

Ease of installation and fits behind the bridge so does not affect unamplified sound. Also gives a very realistic acoustic tone amplified sound. Good value and does what it says on the tin.

Like the sound. This tiny pic up is good to install but it’s very fragile. Caution even installed.

I think this is my third one. It works really well, it’s easy to fit, stays in place well, but, if you just catch your guitar, is easily broken - hence it’s my third. However, the quality of the sound keeps me returning. Hopefully I’ll not be as ham fisted in future.

Easy to install lovely sound from your amp

Good sound and easy to install but very flimsy. Three have broken and refuse to buy a fourth. More prone to feedback than a built in pickup and obviously no volume or eq.

Great product and reasonably priced. Rewards experimentation with placement position on the tie bar; I found that, on my handmade (by me) classical guitar, having as much as possible of the thicker part of the pickup resting on the tie bar reduced unwanted resonances (and reduced the risk of damage). Used it for a recent two hour solo classical performance and received good feedback on the natural tone. Recommended!

It’s a very easy way to get a classical guitar that has no installed electronics to be able to be plugged in to an amplifier. It works well and saves you making any adjustments to your guitar. I would say that for occasional use it absolutely fine but it really isn’t a long term solution if you’re going to be using an amplifier regularly with your classical guitar as the connections are a bit fragile and you need to be careful with the cables. Sound wise it’s like a lot of pickups and sounds like an acoustic guitar through an amplifier. In other words it’s not going to sound like your guitar does acoustically. But it’s ok for what it is.

This pickup does everything that you'd expect from the reviews and publicity it's had so far. It is simple to fit and the reproduction of my classical guitar's tone is very true to the unplugged sound. The volume output is surprisingly high; I did not need a seperate preamp and it's perfect when played through my acoustic amplifier. I was particularly happy that I didn't need to make any holes in my valuable guitar, or attach adhesives to hold electronic parts or attachments in place. This is a seriously good pickup.

Really easy to install. Most importantly, it sounds great… even more so considering the price. I put it through my Boss GE-7 cutting the low mids and boosting the highs slightly for a clear sound. Really recommend this one.

Je cherchais un système pour capter le son sur ma Lag TN70A à cordes nylon. Je viens de l'installer sur ma guitare et c'est vraiment une excellent surprise. Tout d'abord parce que j'avais cherché des avis sur ce micro à la fois ici et aussi via quelques vidéos Youtube (il n'y en a pas tant que ça en dehors de celles de la marque ou sponso). Ça semblait bon mais avec toujours le doute sur les avis et les limites de juger d'un son sur une vidéo Youtube (est-ce qu'il est arrangé ou pas etc...). Ensuite parce que ma Lag est une nylon à manche folk, donc espacement des cordes plus étroit qu'une vraie classique. J'avais regardé les cotes données par la marque, ça allait normalement, mais aucune idée de la façon dont capteur allait s'adapter (au final très bien cf photo). Au final, après 10 minutes pour l'installation, en y allant très doucement pour passer sous les cordes (merci les commentaires sur la fragilité possible du capteur), elle est branchée et là son au top pour moi !!! Puissant, très sensible, pas trop l'effet son piezo je trouve. En tout cas pour moi c'est parfait et ça m'ouvre de nouvelles perspectives avec ma Lag. En tout cas, pour un non pro comme moi et pour mon usage, c'est largement suffisant pour que je puisse me faire plaisir. Et le tout pour un prix plus que raisonnable, au final c'est tout de même un super rapport qualité-prix-facilité d'installation. Je pense déjà à me prendre leur micro adapté aux folks pour une autre de mes guitares.

Ich habe mir den KNA Tonabnehmer für meine Gitarre geholt und bin absolut begeistert. Die Installation war kinderleicht und der Sound ist glasklar, natürlich und ohne störendes Rauschen. Er gibt den natürlichen Charakter des Instruments perfekt wieder. Für diesen Preis eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!
