Excellent brilliant worth the money
I'm in love with my air fryer it's brilliant. When I decided to get one I wasn't sure as all the images was of chips. Seriously what can you cook in these. Well I got one because of prime day so ended up paying half price but now I know what I know I would have paid full price. My food taste amazing I'm learning new recipes every day. Cooking chicken in this wow chicken breast with breadcrumbs the outside crispy and the inside moist. Everything is always moist and soft inside and outside if you want very crispy.I've cooked refries which is Caribbean boiled dumplings left over and fried the next day. OMG it was wicked without the oil.I use a tab bit on olive oil on thinks as I'm not too sure but things like chicken no need. However one massive criticism is that it comes with no instructions or recipes. I have to research recipes and I don't like that you can't see what the dial is on its very. It's easy to clean and I've followed a lot of people tips. One more thing the compartment very small but it's perfect for me

Most useful kitchen appliance in years. Recommended
I have a small galley kitchen and oven cook using a combination microwave, but which has an ineffective grill, so after years of struggling I tried this hot air fryer and as I cook mainly for myself this compact 1.5ltr was ideal as it takes up minimal space. The instruction book though lacks little more than general cooking temperatures and times (there is no recipe book), but by trial and error found I could produce good results for example with small steaks, chicken pieces and French fries (from frozen). Potato wedges also worked well with Marais Piper potatoes. I find this a very useful addition to my kitchen, plus it’s a healthy form of cooking as it uses only a minimum amount of cooking oil. Always use a high temperature cooking oil such as (NOT extra virgin) rapeseed or olive oil. There are lots of hot air fryer cook books but none I could find covered basic cooking, virtually all were American, which measure everything in cups and spoon with temperatures in Fahrenheit, as well as catering for much larger quantities and rather more sophisticated recipes. It is also easy to clean. If I have a criticism it’s there is no Tower dedicated recipe book. None-the-less this is a very useful bit of kit which, because of its relatively compact size, can be left permanently on the kitchen counter and therefore can be used whenever required. Especially recommended for single person use though could be used for two.

ok for me
I was going to get a larger super wham fabby one. But, the power rating was similar to my kitchen oven. So no saving there. Instead i went for this one. Its seems ok. Used a couple of dozen times. Just for sausages/burgers/chicken all without fat. So that's a good thing. Slight problem that the tray doesn't always engage the micro switch. So I have to take the tray out and put it back in again. But, kinda got the hang of it now. Mine was on offer. Happy enough with that.

Perfect
Really love this air fryer. Only ones I had ever seen were much bigger so didn’t get one before, as it’s only my husband and myself. First time I used it was to make chicken nuggets from scratch for the great grandkids. I was really unsure about cooking, but they turned out to be brilliant and then had to make them some more. I’ve cooked all sorts of things since and I love it. Would recommend for use with just couples, would need something bigger for a family. It looks so good on my worktop and is so easy to use and clean. I would say, and I think all air fryers are similar , and that is to shake several times during cooking.

Not bad for my first air fryer
After joining Slimming World and being told potatoes (& therefore chips if not marinated in oil) are syn free, I wanted to get an air fryer as I'd heard good things, and with little to no oil having one should help with some of my meals.I like the size, it's taller rather than it is wide so takes up less counter space, which is exactly what I was after rather than a bulkier model, plus as I'm only cooking for myself I didn't need a Mount Everest of a machine, so the size is ideal.I cooked my first batch of chips, which were awful and most were were still partially raw even after 25 minutes, but I knew it'd be trial and error so wasn't bothered. I'd hoped you wouldn't need to parboil as I wanted an easy solution i.e cut potatoes and then cook in the air fryer, but seems this isn't as easy as I'd hoped and you are better off parboiling. On my 2nd attempt (with instructions from Tower, thanks!) I parboiled, sprayed with a bit of Frylight and they came out a lot better so it's ok for chips, just needs some extra time preparing them.I also tried Chicken, Salmon and Steak in it and all 3 came out really well with no oil whatsoever so it seems that it's better at meat and poultry so far. I wouldn't bother using it for cakes though, I'm too old school and want to use my actual oven for baking.Cleaning... ignore the photo that shows the tin resting on a dishwasher shelf, it's incredibly misleading as the tin is NOT dishwasher safe. Even the manual says don't put it in a dishwasher so why on earth they used that photo I don't know. It takes less than two minutes to wash it by hand so it's not a major grievance but not very good to mislead with a picture like that. The "rack" in the tin is useful to raise food off the bottom of the tin, but I suspect the little rubber covers that stop the tin getting scratched will wear out very quickly given how much you need to keep removing it to wash everything properly. I can't see to find anywhere online that sells spares as I got the smaller model so "universal" accessories won't fit in the 1.6L model as it's so small. I will contact the seller and see if they have anything available though otherwise it's going to ruin the tin pretty quickly and I'll probably have to get a bigger model to stop that happening constantly.Overall though as my first ever Air Fryer I'm pretty happy with it, I'll possibly upgrade at some stage but I'll get as much use as I can out of it as for now it's working well for me.
