Lever Action Jarkey Opener

This is a wonderful gadget for opening jars if you suffer with arthritic hand joints and is a must as it makes life so much easier. I couldn’t do without it and no longer need to call on friends for help.

Handy little gadget. Works perfectly and I love the colour. Will be getting some more of these for friends and family. So glad I've got one! It's the genuine original Jarkey and is made in Denmark. I've attached photos of the product and its packaging so you can see. Good value for money.

Can't live without it? It's perfect size for all jars. So easy to use and works everytime

Just wish I could buy one made from metal, as the plastic lifting edge fails after a (long) while. Cheap to buy though, and solves a constant problem. Recommended.

Makes opening any jar easy as pie!

I've used one of the 'clamp' type jar openers before but found it didn't work with some jar lid designs. This 'lever' type does work with ease, every time. It's a bit expensive (made in Denmark). I suppose a cheaper one from China would cost less but break quickly. This one seems very sturdy, excellent quality and I'm sure it will last.

Okay, so I’ve only used this a couple of times so far, but even in that short a time it’s proven to be better than any other jar openers I’ve had. For instance, last year I bought one of those fan-shaped, grip-the-lid openers that have so many high ratings. After using it multiple times I found that I was constantly resorting to my old method (run jar lid under hot water, tap it constantly with a kitchen utensil, and pray that it opened) all because the fan-shaped jar opener failed to work. (As an FYI, I’m a 64-year-old female with beginning stages of arthritis in my hands.)The Jarkey, however, proved to be a VAST improvement. I apply it in one or two spots on a difficult lid and voilà!!, the lid opens easily. It manages to break the seal of jar lids efficiently, and without effort on my part, and leaves me with the confidence of knowing that I can now purchase bottled products (such as spaghetti sauce or pickles) and not have to worry about whether or not I can actually open them.I highly recommend this product.

Ich habe dieses kleine Teil bei meiner Mutter kennen gelernt, die schon über 80 ist. Ich selber habe ab und zu Probleme mit den Handgelenken und ich möchte diesen kleinen Helfer nicht mehr missen. Ich finde nur den Preis, für das Plastik, zu hoch. Trotzdem würde ich ihn wieder kaufen, weil ich ihn einfach benötige.

Works as intended. I don't have to ask my boyfriend to open jars for me anymore and now I get to (jokingly) flash my biceps at him. The Jarkey can even open jars my boyfriend can't.I also purchased one for my mother a while back and she uses it all the time. Even with arthritis in her fingers she can easily open jars with this.
