Works for me
I needed a dish for my special soap for a trip. This worked great. I did put it in a zip lock bag for added protection but never had any issues with water. Was a prefect size for my soap!

Lid doesn't sit flush and opens easily
The lid always leaves a gap like the plastic is warped and doesn’t stay closed/easily pops open. Get what you pay for I suppose.

I needed this more than I realized. Maybe you do, too?
If you’re someone who likes to use old-school bar soap instead of the newfangled body washes (like me), then you may occasionally find yourself wishing to take a bar of soap with you, but not looking forward to throwing it away after just a few uses, or coming up with a sloppy way to wrap the slimy used bar of soap such that it won’t soil your luggage.Enter, this product. This will solve the issue.Pros:Durable material. I can’t imagine how to break this. (Then again, I’m sure an airline would have no trouble cracking it, even while inside a suitcase. Sometimes I think they could break a ball bearing encased in memory foam.)Snaps together very securely, so it cannot come open within your luggage. The removable soap tray will be a very handy feature, as you can set the wet bar soap on it, on the edge of a sink or in a shower, in order to avoid having the soap sitting in a puddle and turning to mush on the bottom.Seems like a fair value. If you get the 2-pack, you can give one to a friend or spouse, or save it as a backup in case it gets lost/forgotten somewhere in your travels.Cons:A bit of a challenge to open the case. I struggled at first, BUT soon figured out that if you squeeze the sides in just the right way while pulling the top upward, it will come apart easily enough. Just practice with it until you get it, and then it’ll be easy from then on.Anyway it’s a good thing that the halves don’t come apart too easily, as the last thing you want is a slimy bar of soap escaping in your luggage and getting on everything, right? Also, consider that you only need to open the case once or twice if you’re staying several days in one location, so it’s not a big deal to have to fiddle with it for a few seconds in order to open it.Another potential con is that the case accommodates a regular bath sized bar, but there are some bars on the market that simply are too big for the case. If you insist on using an extra large bar, then it might not fit! So consider whether your bar would fit: Case size is 4.7"x3.3"x2"My only open question about this item is: Once I place a used, potentially wet bar of soap into the case and snap it shut into the nearly airtight plastic case, if I neglect to remove the soap for several weeks or months, will it ever go rancid, moldy, or start to smell bad at some point? I guess I may have to find out the hard way. In any event, the case is smooth plastic on the inside (just like the outside) so it would be easy to wash out.

Good value for RV travel
I ordered this soap dish to use in our RV. It is made of a durable plastic and has three separate parts to it; a lid, a base and a tray to hold the soap. I like that I can remove the tray with the soap on it and set it in the RV shower then easily pack it up when we travel. The lid has a deep groove which runs around the inside and fits securely to the base making it leakproof. The lid is a little difficult to remove from the base due to the snug fit. The soap dish is the right size to hold a gold bar of Dial soap or an equivalent size bar. It's a good value at $6.99 for 2.

Great for travel
If your toddler can’t open it then you know it’s a necessity for travel toiletries. I like that it has the grate in the middle so it doesn’t stick to the bottom.

Nice soap dishes but a little hard to open
The soap dishes themselves are nice ,there’s a spot for soap to sit n water to drain so it’s not sitting in water and getting slimy , but the case is hard to seperate top from bottom -otherwise it’s great , nice size and love the drain feature
