Very happy so far
Very happy so far. Has the basic functionality that I need via a usable App. As far as I know, though, it's not controllable through an internet browser or a PC App, which is a bit of a shame. It's also annoying that there isn't a common App interface for similar products. The recommended App is compatible with a range of other products but, as far as I can tell, few (if any) are available in the UK.

Its brilliant, paired with no issues and the app is great I will be buying more of these.The app tells me when it switches on and off when the timer is set, I can turn on any device from the other side of the planet with wifi or 3G availability of course.

Works great (most of the time)
Have a couple of older ORVIBO plugs that have worked and still work just fine for well over a year. Needed another so went for this especially being Echo enabled. Comes well packaged and was simple to setup though you need to create an account for the HouseMate app. Once connected the device can be switched on/off using the app. It is also possible to set a timer to switch it on/off and that works just fine too - we use it fir a dehumidifier. Linking it to Echo was quite painless and the “Turn on dehumidifier” does what it says.Overall I am pleased with this plug and will get some more as needed. They are ideal for sockets that are out if the way or remote. They are ideal when used with an Echo device for elderly people who are unable to bend down to sockets.Would have been nice if the older sockets were recognised by the app but they aren’t so there seems to be two apps needed one for older switches and one for the new.Update: Been using these for a while now and had set two of them with timers. Today they just don’t respond and have to be manually switched on using the button. I get that there maybe service glitches but there is no way of knowing what is going on or how long the ‘outage’ is going to be.

Device is fine, but REQUIRES internet connection to work. Will not function on a wifi network with no internet.
Not compatible with existing/old s20 version. Requires different smartphone app to run, so if you have the previous version and are hoping to add this to your existing setup, your going to be disappointed . App requires an online account and the device will not function without an internet connection to a cloud service to work. Unacceptable & security risk!

Great value, but need IFTTT support
Great plugs, amazing value, work fantastically well with the app and Amazon Echo (about 98% success rate via verbal instructions), but in this day and age they really need IFTTT integration to be a real 5 star product.

Easy to use and convert old devices into smart
Oribo plugs are a great addition to my home. I can now switch on/off my ancient boiler as well as control lamps in the house. Easy to connect to the internet. Wi-Fi SSID needs to be visible. If it is hidden then you will not be able to connect these to the Wi-Fi. It is also important to verify the email address else it will not integrate with Amazon Echo.

Started out great, then it wasn't...
*Update*24hrs later, I plugged the smart plug back in, rediscovered it via Alexa and it works just fine. I owe it to the manufacturer to be fair and honest, so I've added another star. If it's still working next week, I'll add another star.*Original Review*I bought 3 of these. The reviews were great and they were cheaper than the Samsung equivalent. Ticked all the boxes for me.Thus far, I've only used 1 of these. I'm still tempted to start using another, but my experience with the company's website and the Homemate app (which you have to download btw) has left me a little bitter.This plug started out fine and worked perfect for about 4 days. Then it didn't. That was it. Every step I took to reconnect to wifi failed, blaming my network - which was simultaneously running my other smart devices, so no blame for me.I then tried deleting the device from the app in order to start over, but all I got was a "Failed" message multiple times. I even attempted to delete the app and reinstall it but even then it wouldn't let me log in on wifi or 4G. Tried resetting my password and got another faulty network check.It's infuriating to be blocked at every turn and told it's "your" fault when you know that the product and app are both substandard.And don't get me started about updating it. That failed twice and when it finally installed, I couldn't even use the app if I wasn't on wifi.Awful. Just awful. I'll be returning this asap.
