Great vitamin, great price for our 3 kids
Our 5 year old had extensive dental work done and we needed a quality, non-gummy vitamin and this is it! All three of our kids (ages 5, 2 and 2) have been taking Rainbow Light Kid's One vitamins for well over a year now. All three like the taste and ask for their vitamins each night after dinner. I have tried them myself, and while they don't taste amazing, the kids are happy with them so I am, too. They break in half easily (as I break them in half for the two year olds).I do recommend keeping the moisture-absorbent and the cotton ball inside the bottle as you use them. When they get access to moisture, they get brown spots on them. Not mold, just a result of moisture on the vitamins. Doesn't affect the taste and we have still given them. We haven't had issues with excessive broken pieces in our bottles, but if we did, we would still give them. I can't say that it's completely due to the vitamin, but our kids have healthy immune systems and are rarely sick. This product gives me peace of mind that my picky 2 year old is getting some nutrients, at least!Overall, great quality vitamin at a great price point for someone who needs non-gummy vitamins for three kids each day!

Chewable, probiotics, fun shape, one per kid!
My kids love these vitamins. They love the taste and they love telling me that “it’s a star!” every day. I love that it’s chewable, all the vitamins and minerals it contains, and that it has probiotics. Since taking these, for the past couple of years, my daughter now is regular in the bathroom daily. I also love that each child gets one vitamin and the package tells how that changes the %DV as they get older. We couldn’t find these for a bit and switched to another chewable (which apparently is hard to find nowadays because gummy vitamins are the new thing) and it was annoying having to break them in half each day for my kids.I took pics of how it comes when you open it. There’s a huge piece of cotton to protect the vitamins during travel. After reading a review that mentioned breakage and receiving way less than 90 while vitamins in their container, I opened mine and dumped it and counted. I counted, twice, 90 whole stars in this container, plus minimal powder and a couple broken pieces at the bottom. There’s always been some powder and broken pieces at the bottom even when I used to be able to find them at our local store, but I’ve never counted as it was never “too much” to me. I hope this helps some and I’m glad I can find these on Amazon now that our local stores don’t carry them anymore. Oh, and the expiration is far from the date I received them (rec’d 4/30/22, exp as shown in pic 11/23). I’ve never had issues with these seeming off in appearance, no complaints from kids, and they seem to be great the entire time until the container is finished.

I have been taking Rainbow Light vitamins for the better part of the last decade- specifically the prenatal (I'm ...
Edit: 2 more stars and an update: my kid now asks for these in the morning. "I need my star medicine to make me big and strong, mama!". He hated the flavor but I kept trying and now he doesn't mind them or possibly likes them. I asked what he thought of the flavor and he said "they are weird", which is an improvement from "yucky". So if your kid doesn't like them off the bat, keep trying!I have been taking Rainbow Light vitamins for the better part of the last decade- specifically the prenatal (I'm anemic so I appreciate the iron content)... so it makes sense that I would give these to my kid instead of the gummy crap that they sell in the market. My son is 3 and a pretty good eater and generally will eat anything , but he hates these. I don't say that lightly- he HATES these. The vitamin gets 3 stars for being awesomely complete as far as kids vitamins go- but the flavor is chalky and tart. I, myself, didn't mind the taste much - which is good because I'll be eating the rest of them, I'm sure- but I can't imagine any kid liking the taste of these. I'm sure it's hard to make a kids chewable vitamin that actually contains vitamins and tastes good, but the flavor on these hits the mark. Especially to a kid that eats a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, these are bitter.

Only One Daily if Kid is 3 or Younger!
First of all, I bought this product because I was looking for a kids’ multivitamin that only required one tablet or gummy a day. Therefore, I was very disheartened to find out, upon delivery, that any children older than four have to take two daily! These tablets are huge, so two of them a day is basically the same as four gummies. I would never bought this product if I’d known that. However, what makes this even worse is that neither of my kids could stomach them. They taste fine at first, kind of like sweet tarts, my husband said, but afterwards, there’s a really awful taste in your mouth and the kids say they can’t get rid of it even by eating other things. They both refused to take them after the second day. I would definitely not waste your money on these, although I love the brand and have bought many other vitamins from them.

High Quality & Affordable Kid's Vitamin That Tastes the Way a Kid's Vitamin Should.
These Rainbow Light Kid's vitamins have been the only multivitamin I have purchased for my children for about two years. I was introduced to the Rainbow Light brand one day in the health food store. I was pregnant and looking for a quality prenatal and the man at the counter spoke very highly of the Rainbow Light brand. Years later, shopping for vitamins for my children turned out to be a bigger chore than the laundry! There's gummies, chewables in this shape, that shape, these colors, those colors, no colors, vitamin's with cartoon characters representing them, other with Disney packaging...my head was spinning.I knew I wanted something that I could trust so I decided to type in the brand I had used while pregnant just see if they also make kid's vitamins. To my surprise (I really don't know why I was surprised, but I really was like in a "Wooohooo Yayy!!" mood upon this trivial discovery) there was a once daily children's multivitamin made by Rainbow Light.I ordered a bottle for my kids. I have three kids so this bottle lasts us only a month, but with the ability to buy these cheaper online than in a health food store it comes out to the same price as buying those cheap gummy ones that require children over two, to take two at a time...that would be six a day in my house!A common complaint is the taste, which I mean really, if you can't get it down your kids throat...no matter how good the ingredients are; it doesn't matter! So I will hopefully shed some light on this area by my children's own reactions. First off, this was the first vitamin I bought ever them. They had no idea vitamins could taste like a package of skittles or fruit snacks. The didn't know they had the option of taking vitamins by chewing vitamin gumballs or all this other stuff that literally "candy coats" the vitamin! What were they expecting? Probably something gross. It wouldn't be the first time I made them chomp on something "good for them." So much like green beans or broccoli they probably felt apprehensive. If this is not your child, and they love their gumball vitamins and chocolate milk supplements, they may not dig this one.Now this by no means discredits the taste of these vitamins. They don't taste terrible, they just don't taste like a snack they would trade their apple for in school. My kids have no issues with taking them. They love the star shape (yes, the shape counts!!) And they ask for them every morning without fail. They like the taste and can take them with or without having food or a drink near by. They even remind me when we need more! By the way my kids are ten, seven and six.My only complaint is in the summer (we live in a humid climate) these tend to get spotted if not left in a cool dry place (like the label suggest anyway..I know duh!) That might be my fault for taking that wad of cotton out the bottle. I never can tell if that's in their for a reason of just an added bonus for when I'm out of cotton balls, but seriously as a child who took the Flintstones vitamins (back in the 80's & early 90's...I'm sure they taste different now a days) I would say they taste similar. They have a vitamin-ish taste disguised by a slight fruity taste in a form of "Pez/Sweethearts"-ish consistency and a fun star shape. The size of the vitamin is a little smaller than a quarter so they are a decent size.I totally recommend these to all my friends with kids. They have so much more in them for kids than others on the market. They have probiotics in them as well as a bonus to help with their digestion plus herbal tonics and a vegetable juice complex built right into each vitamin. Many of the ingredients are from whole food sources (though not the entire vitamin itself) I like to look at a vitamin as a filler for where my kids may be lacking but depend heavily on a wholesome diet and I have to say these fit the bill and have no doubt these are effective. We tend to get sick only once a year, that's not a claim for the vitamins entirely but they do their job!
