AFI Hamilton Full Murphy Bed Chest with Mattress, Storage, and Built-in Charger in White

The media could not be loaded. We purchased this Murphy bed as a guest bed in our family room, and we are so pleased with it! The piece is well-made and looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is easy to change from bed to chest and chest to bed, and as a bed it feels sturdy. The mattress is comfortable and the drawer storage is perfect for storing guest linens and pillows. We will receive our first guests next week, and I can’t wait to hear how they like having a real bed after staying on our sofa the last time!This bed was delivered 3 weeks earlier than promised. Instructions for assembly were clear, pieces fit as they were supposed to, and they included a flier for exactly who and how to contact someone in case there were any problems with the product (we had none). It IS heavy, so you will definitely need help with tools or a friend if you need to move the piece after delivery. The bottom pull-out portion comes pre-assembled and that is too much for a person to move around by themselves if you need it up stairs for example. I’m recommending it to all my friends!

We needed a bed that could fold out of the way for our studio efficiency style beach apartment. This definitely met our needs. It's a high quality piece of furniture. Comes in a few boxes and is very heavy. I had to carry it up stairs so needed to open the boxes and make it as light weight as possible.Several nice touches. The right side of the bed as outlets and usbs. How cool is that! The bed completely folds up into a super compact and very nice looking piece of furniture. The wood used is strong. After over a year of owning it we have just had a couple of scratches on the enamel.The included mattress that folds up is also a nice medium firm and comfortable sleeping mattress. We did add a very thin foam topper and it still allows us to close and fold the unit up.Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a bed for a compact space but can also see how some might think it's a little clostrophobic sleeping on it since the top shelf does overhand a little bit but also folds back too.

Edit: the mattress has held up quite well with time. Between myself and guests, it's been slept on maybe 30 nights so far and is still very comfortable. You can definitely still bottom out on the mattress when adjusting, but it is extremely comfortable when laying down flat which is all that matters. Overall very happy with this!Unlike some other reviewers, I found the build process to be quite easy despite not being an engineer or a member of Mensa. It took 90 minutes start to finish by myself. It feels extremely solid, and the design is very well thought out. I may end up putting some additional latches on the front panel to child-proof it a bit better since the provided latches are pretty easy to flip open. The front panel doesn't free fall as soon as you do, but it'll definitely fall down if you unlatch and pull on it.My only problem is that the mattress just feels thin and cheap. It's definitely not 6" thick like the description says, my tape measure shows about 4.5" after sitting out to expand for about 12 hours. I slept on it last night to test it, and found that my hips bottom out through the mattress pretty easily when I'm rolling around or sitting up. It was pretty comfortable for side sleeping, but I may end up having to get a mattress topper or a new tri-fold mattress of higher quality eventually.

Was quite impressed with the ease of assembly up to a point. However, the door arrived cracked and scratched. Have sent a feedback form to Atlantic Furniture requesting a replacement. Will update review based on the outcome and timeliness of that request.Chapter 2: Due to covid shutdown, it took from May through September to get a replacement part shipped. Atlantic Furniture uses an answering service, that doesn't actually interface with Atlantic Furniture. I had over 5 calls, 3 emails and 2 trouble tickets through their webpage before a replacement door was shipped.

My parents (over age 70) enjoyed a good night's rest. Surprisingly, they had no complaints with the 4 inch mattress. This is considering one of them is over 260lbs. The mattress is in perfect condition after their 4 night stay.

Works great in our spare room. Freed up a lot of space. A tad labor intensive to assemble but looks great and first person that used the bed said it was pretty comfortable.

Just as described and as pictured. Arrived in several boxes which were heavy. Takes 2 people to put together an hour+. Read directions closely. All parts were provided and numbered which made assembly easier. Laid out all parts on floor and placed hardware nearby. I found one piece of wooden slightly broken but still was useable and not that noticeable as it went under the inside. Another very slight crack near one of the front handles on the wooden “drawers”. Did not box the unit all up and return or wanted to wait for replacement parts as guests were coming and i wanted the bed set up immediately. The double/full mattress folded out nicely and did not curl back up. Had sheets ready to put on so made it up after full assembly. My guests said the mattress was comfortable. Have not folded it back up yet to just show as a dresser. Do like the idea of 2 large drawers underneath for storage but cannot access while bed is laid out. Have to pick up end of mattress if needed to reach in. Will hold quite a few clothes in drawers for storage or 4 blankets. Hopefully will last for a few years with guests coming/going.

The media could not be loaded. Unit arrived a week late.Upon unboxing, I noticed damage to the top piece.As I built this, more imperfections appeared. Pretty major factory imperfections that make this unit look a lot less expensive than I paid.
