Great hardware, decent software, rubbish user guide
Good product once you've figured it out.The hardware is great. Good quality, sturdy and it comes with additional coloured key caps. There is even a little tool for removing the key cps easily. Can't fault the hardware at all.The main problem is that the user guide is almost unreadable. I did use the link provided in the manual to get to the downlable software that is required to program the device. I initially tried this using a Mac but I got screens fulled with nonsense. After quite a while, I then tried to use the link from a PC and the download started immediately. Once the software was downloaded and installed on the PC, getting the keyboard up and running was quite easy. The software even has a decent manual. The device can be used with a Mac but it's got to be set up using a PC first.Like I said above, this is a good product that is let down by a very poor manual. The info I've provided should help to make it easier for anyone else planning to but this keyboard.

Great hardware, but get USB hub with switches, and study pdf manual.
This is a very nice keypad with 4 profiles. It takes very little effort to press the keys. I like the pre-printed and blank labels it comes with, and the clear key covers. The paper instructions are very sparse, only 2 short pages, but there is a link in it to the software and a 36-page pdf. It’s in a .rar file so you’ll need to decompress that. In order to change anything, you have to start the software, power down the keypad, hold the upper left button down, then back power up, then after two seconds, the software shows the default profile, and then you can let go of the button. This was very tedious to program and test different configurations and macros, so I bought a USB hub with toggle switches, which made things MUCH easier. The pdf manual tries to be complete and informative, but it takes a while to get used to their jargon and non-intuitive way of using the software. (For example, “Press” means key down, while “KeyDown” means something that could include a mouse button down, but the software doesn’t have any mouse clicks available for KeyDown.) The software font is bothersome, reminiscent of Windows 3.1. The software is a bit clunky, but at least it works after you figure it out (example, why let the user be able to select anything in the command list window when editing macros, when you can’t change anything via that list at all ? I kept wanting to change the command directly in the command list). I have a Logitech G13 programmable gamepad and that software is a breeze to use.Pros : great hardware, everything worksCons : software usability could be improved; no “live update”.

Great macro pad, solid and easy to use
I'm very pleased with the Koolertron programmable keyboard, setup was generally straight forward and using the product has been great. Upon opening the package I was impressed with everything that came in the box, full set of blank keycaps (which I replaced with caps with letters), keycap puller, small brush, sheets of white and black letter stickers for labeling, and metal (with rubber feet) riser pegs to give the keyboard a few degree lift at the back.Tips for installing and running the software:-Follow the download link included in the paperwork-Open the .exe file for your language-To enter configuration mode, which you'll need to do every you want to program or change your profile you need to unplug the USB cable, press and hold the top-left button, plug USB back in and let go of the top-left button.-Go key by key and great your single or hotkey command assigned to each key (hotkeys get colored purple in the program so you can tell the difference).-When complete be sure to backup your profile, click Save Profile Onboard (here you select default, L1, L2, L3 then finally End and Reboot.-The configuration mode is over and you can use the deviceComments:-It would be nice if you could drag existing hotkey configurations to different keys, currently you have to remake them if you don't like it's place - honestly a small detail-I would have preferred the option to select different switches

Best keypad for professionals!
Programmable keypad, better design, sturdy, and reasonable price. what else? lolI'm working in CG industry and I was worried to increase efficiency of my work.Using programmable keypad is one of my answers. However, There were some keypads for games or calculations, but few choices for professionals using a particular program on various OSI had no choice about design or key switches before I found this keypad. It has better design, better compatibility, better key switches, better price than old, unimproved other programmable keypads!I can't say it is perfect, but can say it is the best keypad to me until now. (I hope the mapping program's UI improved)
