Essential now
I have been using this blender almost every day for the last few months. All the parts have been tried in the meantime. It was a bit dear and I could have found a slightly better deal but Iam very satisfied with the quality and the reliability.Have made soups, also with harder vegetables and bacon, no problems.Have even used it for making soap - very useful to have it around.Everyday smoothie is a nice tradition, too.Small veg cutter is great - pleasure to cut onion now, very fine an quick cutting.Ice crusher is sufficient for small amounts, bit uneven - part is crushed into snow butsome bigger pieces remain. Practical though. The highlight is how quiet it is, really pleasant to use.The downside - somehow it is difficult for me to keep pressing the buttons, either of the two.A week does not go by without me thinkinkg that to have a hand blender is a great idea indeed.A good year and a bit later the blender is still going strong - I dropped it once so there is something slightly loose inside but it still works very well. We even use it to blend uncooked soy beans and it manages very well for its size.

Bosch blender MSM6700GB
This is not a highly detailed review because I'm not the good cook round here, my wife is... I just "dabble" at pancakes, and omelettes! It is a Christmas present for her, and before you say what a chauvinist git, this is purely a stocking filler, and NOT her main gift! The Item arrived on time to Italy, and it was well boxed up. All the items were enclosed, with instructions. The blender has variable speed, and a handy boost setting, which is very powerful. It is typically Bosch, i.e. well made, not flimsy, and the attachments match the quality of the strong motor, which is where perhaps some other manufacturers let you down. The other blender we had, a Braun has worked well for 10 years, but the attachments soon broke, and Mrs X really does miss the chopping facility. What is better about this machine, it also includes a sturdy whisk for pancakes, omelettes (the easier things make - my job!) which slots very easily into the main blender. As an electronic engineer, I do get a feel for motor sturdiness, (unlike cooking!) and this IS a very sturdy motor. There is very little vibration, bearings are quiet, and the switches are responsive. If you are like us and do not mind paying a bit more for good value and reliability, I think this has been a good choice.

A Solidly Built Hand Blender
We purchased the Bosch MSM6700GB Hand Blender primarily to prepare baby food and have no complaints about its ability to handle that task. Its powerful enough to produce smooth even purees of everything from pear to sweet potato and butternut squash to beef casserole. The fact that the blender head is metal rather than plastic means that you can be confident using it in conjunction with metal pans and bowls without the risk of damaging it. Its quiet enough not to unduly worry either a five-month old baby or a rather skittish spaniel. The various attachments are also nicely put together and easy enough to clean. The mixer unit in particular works well, and its suction-cup feet keep it nice and stable. Its a quick way to dice or slice small quantities of pretty much anything. My only niggle with the whole package is the storage system. Not only is it extremely fiddly to put up (and I say this is a someone who finds putting up shelves and other DIY easy and enjoyable) it only holds the hand blender; all the other accessories have to be stored separately. Its not a big problem but considering how good the rest of the components are it feels like a badly designed afterthought.

Glad I upgraded my kitchen hand tools
The variable speeds are very useful, it's easy to clean and the separate components make it multi-purpose. I am very pleased with it.

Good solidly made blender with useful options.
Nice bit of kit with useful accessories although I don't suppose I'll ever use an ice crusher! The blender itself feels well made and the stainless steel attachment should be durable. The mini chopper made quick work of an onion, mind you don't overdo it! The whisk made a great job of meringue - tactile, like doing it by hand but much quicker. I've had a few similar blenders one the years starting with an early Braun one. This is clearly the most well made and it is a lot more effective, smoother & quieter than the Philips one it replaced which recently conked out. The accessories are not exactly of commercial strength & build quality but I think it's good for the price and it's mainly the hand blender we'll use and that will be fine. It also has a few useful options if you don't want to get the Kenwood Chef or food processor. Recommended.
