OEM part, couldn't be better

Good quality U joint. I installed on my TJ Rubicon front right axel shaft, the old one was not doing so good. It's been a few years in use and it has withstood the abuse from the trails and and miles on road. Still feels solid.

Unfortunately did not meet my expectations for spicer. Ordered two, one was missing a seal, the other showed up with the bearing cap already off and a little bit of rust inside that bearing cap. Assuming I got duds but still disappointed.

This fit my 98 XJ with the Dana 30. They’re the Spicer U-Joints so there’s nothing bad to say! (I don’t know if their quality has gone down since the XJ’s were made or not but regardless I chose something decent because I DO NOT wanna do this job again lol) I recommend that you DO NOT install with a press (install with a ball peen hammer if you have one) and install with only one of the two corresponding caps on if that makes sense. I tried it with a press and crushed the seals AND the joint pushed needle out of place so I have to buy a new u-joint for the other side, still cheaper than if I paid a mechanic and now I know something! This is not an exhaustive install guide and there are tips I haven’t mentioned but remember to beat them with your hammer to seat the joints in place so that they move more freely. For what it’s worth the wheel hub stud part (removable from the shaft) had slightly more resistance — that may be an install error but it’s a note in case anyone else was curious so if I installed correctly there is supposed to be slightly more resistance where I mentioned.

Did a ball joint job on my Dana 30 and took the time to replace out the U joints on my front axle shafts. Pretty straight forward once you have done it once. They are upgraded rubicon u joints designed for jeep and fit perfectly my jeep TJ.

Have had really good luck with these joints on my Jeep which sees a higher than normal use offroad. I usually shop around when buying them as the price seems to fluctuate a lot. The last few times Amazon has had them cheapest. The last one I had go was only because I pinched one of the seals during an install and it still lasted 75000km before I spotted it during an inspection! Of my order I ordered 2, however one was missing the set of C clips, this is ok as I'm only ordering them as spares and so far the exchange process seems like it will be simple.

Solo comparando el viejo con este se ve una gran diferencia, lo encontré a muy buen precio aquí. Yo trabajé en Spicer donde se hacen estás crucetas y estoy seguro que son de la mejor calidad.

Lo he instalado en mi Jeep Sahara Jk 2011 y mi jeep TJ 2000 ajustando super bien.
