Great grease gun, just don't use it with Aqua Shield grease
This is a great little compact grease gun. First one I've ever owned or use, and it's simple to set up and use. Works great and easily handled greasing my windlass and prop shaft support. But if you find yourself having visions of manually filling this with Aqua Shield grease, check yourself for a high fever. Aqua Shield is perhaps the top grease for the harsh and salty marine environment, but it is absolute misery to work with because it is so thick, sticky, stringy, and smelly. Seriously, refilling this grease gun with Aqua Shield was the most despicable task I have ever had to perform in the name of my sailboat. If you want to learn how to curse like a sailor, this is the way to go. Innocent ears will burst into flame for miles around. It appears Aqua Shield isn't available in a 3 oz cartridge. So if you'll be using this grease, skip this gun and go straight for one that can take the 14 oz cart. This is probably the best life advice I can offer to anyone. Sometimes things are great on their own, but have no business being together. Like garlic and bubble gum. This is one of those times.

Inexpensive small-cartridge grease gun that does the job very well
I just wanted a simple yet dependable grease gun to lube my Jeep Cherokee with. I like using the smaller grease cartridges, which the Powerbuilt 648755 Mini-Pistol Grease Gun uses. I already had a flexible 12" extension hose, which I prefer rather than the short, straight metal one that it comes with (there are some difficult grease fittings to reach on my Jeep - the flexible extension works much better than the short tube that the gun comes with). A nice feature about this Grease gun is that there are two places where you can attach an extension (if you prefer to use one of those), and I used the hole (that is sealed with a hex nut) on the top of the gun to attach the extension hose, a simple job of taking the top hex nut out, screwing in the extension, taking off the small metal tube that comes with the gun, and putting the hex nut in that hole. The cartridges loaded easily, and the gun worked flawlessly. I had one similar to this that lasted over 45 years. I expect the same durability from this gun, as it is built the same way. I highly recommend this product.

buyer beware - grease nozzle didn't seal on the zerk
bought this replacing an older 3oz grease gun wanting more pressure when greasing my snowblower and not happy with the results. the grease nozzle leaked off the zerk not providing an adequate seal for the apparent pressure this unit provides. i ended up swapping on a good working grease head off my old grease gun and i'm back in action. for the price, i'm mildly thrilled. i'd give another company a chance for a cheap grease gun next time around. 3500 psi is a very good rating though.

A small, but well-built little grease gun
If I had 20 or 30 Zerks to keep going I probably would choose a bigger grease gun, but I don't, and that led me to this gun. My job is to grease the 2 fittings on my wife's horse trailer twice a year. As I recall, I filled the gun from a large cartridge of Amsoil grease manually, that is by donning some surgical gloves, grabbing a handful of grease from the cartridge and glopping it into the gun's grease chamber. Piece of cake. Then I screwed things together and got to work on the fittings. Keeping the gun aligned with the fitting, the grease went in easily. End of story. Now I just have to remember to repeat this process -- save for the filling, which should only be necessary every several years -- a couple of times a year. Oh, and after a few years it hasn't leaked a drop.

Great, affordable product
This is my husband's review. "I own a couple grease guns and for whatever reason, no matter the good instructions, I always seem to have difficulty operating them competently. I usually get intermittent flow, can't seem to control flow, get stuck on the zerks-the usual amateur stuff. With this gun my first try was immediately successful and nothing has gone wrong since. The threaded fitting allows it to be loosened prior to removing it from a zerk so no more tug of war with your fittings to remove the tool. I know any pro will be shaking his head and any grease gun in the right hands will function beautifully. For me, this particular tool, right out of the box, has allowed me to function flawlessly. If you keep your grease guns way in the back of the shed because of the problems you have experienced, it will the first grease gun that you'll think fondly of as you walk through your tool zone. Good price for a good product."

Excellent quality, especially for the price! Does what you need it to. It can be quite messy to reload but that's probably to be expected...
