Wouldn't pay full price.
I like the looks of these shoes, I actually wear them as golf shoes. However they rub the back of my Achilles which is not ideal. I would definitely not pay full price for these. Luckily I got these at more than half off, so I did not return these.

Barefoot shoes are incredible, but shoe lining causes discomfort.
Bought this pair for hiking and was bummed after hiking all day, because the lining around the shoe opening rubbed my Achilles heal raw, the surrounding area: ankles and top of foot weren’t as raw but still just as sore after a hard days hike. Otherwise, the vivo barefoot shoes ROCK and fit GREAT!

Opening WAY too small
I could literally not even get my foot through the opening. I am a woman with high arch, but I’m sure there are plenty of men with hefty feet so for the men’s shoe to have this issue would tell me many will not be able to wear these.

They will destroy your feet unless you cut the top material
Edit: I had planned to return these but suddenly it was too hot to run in boots I had not alternative. I cut the tops and ran in socks; it was alright, no new foot damage. In a perfect world, this is unacceptable but flat shoes are hard to come by. Have one star back, one don't you.Vivo running shoes have always had small openings. I had to cut my previous pair a little to make them comfortable to get on. After that, they were fine and I continued to run in them for two years; until the cleats wore down. These were difficult to get on as well but I wanted to test them out before altering them. They fit ok, after I managed to slip them on with a lot of effort. I ran for about an hour and came home with my foot bleeding in four places! The internal supports rub against the foot and I do not think cutting the top will do it this time. Not to mention, I’m limping now and I will likely have to skip running for a week. What are you doing Vivo? Not only are these several times more expensive than some competitors but they destroy your feet?Going to try for a refund but, given that they now have blood on them, I’m not optimistic.

Phantastisch 🤩

Designed by a non-runner
I've had Vivobarefoot running shoes for the past 7 years. I love them. But their tread has been worn down completely which makes them very slippery on muddy tracks. So I decided to buy a new pair of Vivos with better grip. After 2 months I've finally made peace with the new pair, but only after cutting them up. I can only conclude that they were designed by someone that doesn't run...or wear shoes. The designer certainly never tried on these shoes. They would have noticed that the elastic squeezes you like a python. The only way I found around this is to cut the elastic in several places (see photo). I can now go for a run without being in agony afterwards.Probably best to steer clear unless you like cutting up very expensive shoes
