A really good deal, even if you don't need one right now because it's the winter. Here in the Keys , winter can end just like that and it's great to be ready. We use this as a back up when our power goes out and our Gen can only run 110v. This works great.

The media could not be loaded. This unit is in a small room roughly 150 sq ft. It cools exceptionally well. It is installed into a horizontal window so using double slider for the air duct holder was not an option (unless you are going to cut it..psst I'm not good at cutting lol).To fill the gap that remained, I used a piece of styrofoam from the box.Instead of having to shut the unit down every few hours to drain the pan. I bored a hole large enough to only fit the hose to release the water as it fills.The unit is on a dresser roughly 3ft tall so draining is optimal for the most part. Any excess water can be ridded by lifting the hose.Noise is lower compared to traditional window units.Make sure to grab a roll of HVAC tape because any air leaks at the window will cause the unit to work harder. I sealed the entire perimeter of the window and any section that airflow can be felt.CON(S)1. There are no wheels so it's heavy plus the box reads keep up right or you won't be able to to operate the until until it is upright for a few hours.1a. If you are using the unit without the hose to the drain pan, it is a real bummer because of all the weight to hold it and drain will cause stress to your back.2. Make sure to buy batteries for your remote AAA or you will have to climb if you set it up high.

My only down mark for this is that it's a bit loud, particularly if it's quiet at night. It's not too loud to sleep, but it's not quiet.

Expected higher level of cool. This definitely isn't 8000 BTU. It is only in m th bedroom and cools more like a 5000 BTU. I would not recommend it for that reason. It is portable, easy to install but just not providing the 8000 BTU. I have a different Black and Decker brand in my living room and it is as advertised 6000 BTU and runs excellent have had it 2 years and its worth every penny, even runs better than this new off brand portable AC which again, definitely not 8000 BTU as advertised.

This air conditioner is very good, the noise is less than that of the window machine, and the temperature can be controlled, which can save a lot of electricity bills. The ventilation ducts in the back fit very well and fit almost any window in the home. And it is very easy to move, it is very easy to switch from the living room to the bedroom, because it has wheels installed at the bottom, it is very easy to push. In the hot summer, an air conditioner is a must. I no longer use a window machine. This air conditioner is definitely worth the money.

Don't buy this junk I've had it just over a year, barely used and the fan motor is shot! Web site is in Chinese and no way to contact them.

I was actually going to return this ac, it appeared to have stopped working after 1 day and was just blowing hot air, I just let it sit and was about to package it for return, I tried it and it was blowing cold air and has been blowing cold air for the past few days, I have turned it off and on and still working and cooling just fine. I will provide another review in a month.
