Fantastic for the price
This belt sander is a great buy for the price. It comes set up and ready to plug in and use. No assembly needed on mine. The supplied belt I think is about 120g.I have been using for grinding 115n20/1080 Damascus steel for knife making as well as the wood and mikarta scales. It has performed flawlessly. Obviously this is massively underpowered compared to a 2x72 inch grinder but it is also 1/5 of the price. You need to take your time and it has so far ground everything I have asked of it. Replacement belts are reasonable in all grits. I have fitted - and they are very easy to fit - between 60g and 400g.Regular cleaning - 3 screws and the see through guard to remove - is a must as I have a feeling that the rollers would probably block and jam eventually if you don't clean it regularly.Easy to use, effective in use and good price. Cant fault it.

First impression
First off credit to the seller for a speedy delivery. ETA was 28th but arrived 22nd.The machine is smaller than expected (see trade paperback in pic) but is still good for purpose. It arrived well packaged and required little setup (note unopened docs). In use the device is pretty quiet but dose have some vibration. Mounting points could have been good.

Think I personally made the wrong choice.
Should have bought a 150mm disc as easier to get sanding discs at better price. Might also have been better to get a hook and loop model as disc also appear to be more readily available. The unit works ok but bit of a pain fitting new disc as you have to partially have to dismantle the unit. Never had a disc sander before so not sure if this is the same for all models.

Does the trick
Can't give it a five yet as I've just started using it. That said I'm impressed without performance. Removes material quickly and cleanly. Some very rough edges that needed attention to avoid cuts. Also it really needs to be attached to a dust removal system of some type as it pours off your work piece. In short I'm happy with this and consider it a good piece of kit.

died after 3 months.
This little grinder was great, until it broke.I've had this 3 months, Not used it a whole bunch, last time i used it, It had a little trouble starting up, the button when pushed ran the motor while pushed but when you let go of the button, instead of being toggled on, it turned off, a few attempts later, hey presto it worked, I tought, wow that was odd, never mind, maybe it overheated or something. today, it did it again, thought this time it won't toggle on no matter what i do, I tried, leaving it, holding the button on for a while, pressing it quickly, nothing worked, as soon as you let go of the on button, it stops, making it effectively useless now. the other thing to look out for is that it is incredibly tricky to set this thing up square and level. and the flat pllatten for the grinding belt is almost impossible to adjust properly and isn't even set perpendicular. when it worked it was fantastic, but then it didn't, so it's not. I've given it 3 stars because fi yours doesn't break, you're in luck, because its well worth it. if you're unlucky, well then you just wasted £90
