Best natural deodorant that I have tried.
This is by far the best natural deodorant that I have tried. I realize that different people will have different circumstances, different organic structures, but for me, this deodorant has worked great. To address some of the issues that I have seen other people make: yes, it will stain light colored clothes because it has charcoal in it. However, it works so well to eliminate odor and wetness, that I have just taken to wearing darker colored shirts. On those light color ones that do get stains, I just pretreat with a stain remover, wash, and stain is gone. Another negative that I have seen in the reviews is that some of the dispensers don't work. What I have found (and I have had a few that didn't initially work) is that if you will gently warm the dispenser it softens up the product and the dispenser will then go up and down just like it should. As to the texture of the deodorant.....yes it is a bit grainy, but not uncomfortably so. I have used some other natural coconut and lime deodorants that left me feeling extremely sticky (yuck!) so given a choice between this one's grainy feel or left feeling sticky all day, I'll definitely take grainy! Yes, this product is more expensive than a container of "Degree" deodorant bought from Wal-Mart, but have you seriously looked at all of the ingredients in any of those deodorants? It is worth the extra money to me to know that I am putting all natural ingredients on my skin and with a product that works just as well as the commercial, chemical laden ones!

GAVE ME AN ARMPIT LUMP lol
I love the idea of natural deodorant and everyone raved about this one. I loved the smell. It gave me an ARMPIT CYST. Like a lump that went away when I stopped using it. And many others also have complained of this, too! I never thought I'd have a reaction to it -- just be careful with it.

Less is More -- Still Works
With this deodorant, less is better. With antiperspirant and a previous natural deodorant, I would apply at least 5+ swipes per armpit, and I'd still end up stinking by the end of the day. Now, I apply only 2 swipes (I used to apply 3 swipes at first) per armpit with Schmidts. Guess what? I don't stink at the end of the day. I am also a runner and a pretty heavy sweater (I can sweat in the middle of winter while outside) and after a workout, my armpits don't smell like I've been rolling around in a dumpster -- still with only two swipes. I also forget to pack deodorant recently while traveling for three days, and Schmidts made it all the way to the third day before starting to lose the battle. Sure, it isn't the best feeling applying the deodorant, but if you press it against your armpit for 5 seconds (as recommended), it really helps. If your armpits are being destroyed or your shirts are getting stained, you may need to cut back on how much you apply.

I'm just disappointed I can't find a natural deo that works for me.
I've tried quite a few of the natural deodorants. Schmidt's is the only one that has been able to keep me from smelling like a high school teenager who doesn't quite know how to use deodorant just yet, that I have found. But unfortunately, every time I use Schmidt's my armpits get raw, red and itchy. I've tried two other ones from Schmidt's before I found this this charcoal and magnesium one. At first I was thinking this one was working for me because it took over 2 weeks of daily use for my arms to develop the raw, red and itchiness. I'm just really disappointed that I can't find a formula that both works for me and keeps me from smelling horrible by mid afternoon.

Onion Smell Went Away!!
So, this is the ONLY deodorant I use since giving up aluminum deodorant. I have always been a sweaty girl, I used to keep a small drug store in my bedroom, different brands, scents and even men's deodorant (unscented). Yes I still sweat (as you will with natural deodorant, it's not an antiperspirant), but the best part is I can smell under my pits without smelling like onions. My diet is clean, I don't eat processed foods, nor pork, lean beef and turkey whenever the mood strikes, at one point I ate all veggies, fruits and salads with noooo change in the onion smell, oh and I drink water like a horse. This is the only deodorant that keeps the onion smell away.I can say DO NOT wear this with a favorite silk shirt, as this product contains shea butter and coconut oil which once warmed by your body will be an oily magnet to those delicate shirts and probably ruin them. For those with the rash under your pits, I had this when I first started courting natural deodorants, two things that saved me, I cleansed my pits by using an ACV and bentonite clay mask a couple times per week for a couple of weeks, to cleanse the bad deodorant and allow the good bacteria to build back up. Second, after I shave, I allow my pits to dry before applying this or any other natural deodorant as it will all sting like tiny armpit bees. After the ACV clay mask, I can use ANY natural deodorant, ones with shea butter, magnesium, arrow root, baking soda, etc., with no issues. Hope that helps, as this stuff is my go to, and yes, I made my fiance smell under my pits because I didn't smell like onions!!

Great Deodorant but STAINS
bought this a couple of times.. really a good deodorant but my husband bikes to work in his work clothes, with a white t-shirt under his work shirts. Eventually, his t-shirts have developed terrible grey stains under his arms! I now have to throw them all out and he has to find a new deodorant. Too bad, because it worked!
