Was unsure at first, but works fantastic
I've had my Voron tap setup using ABS mounts like most people do. I started looking into the metal tap frames and decided on this one, mostly because it looked good. I wasn't sure about the manufacturer, because I hadn't heard of them (I actually had, but didn't realize it), but I was impressed with the quality. It comes all as one piece, instead of the multiple pieces of the ABS tap kits. After mounting my SB and connecting the tap to my MellowFly SB2040, I didn't need to change anything else and it immediately gave me more consistent results than my ABS setup. With no specific tuning I got noticeably better test print results. 100% recommend this and, to the detriment of my wallet, I found that they make a full aluminum parts kit and a carbon fiber gantry kit which I will be buying shortly.

Fits well, does it's job with minimal effort.
So far I love my TAP. Fits easily, though the belt clamps are kinda rough to set up. (no worse than literally any of the ones the printer could come with, believe me)Haven't had issues with the new optical sensor so far, and it seems to play quite well with my new CAN board, so I'm happy. Less time dialing in my first layer, which is always a welcome addition to my kit.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS, OR ANY OTHER, CHAOTICLAB/BTT/BIQU PRODUCT!!
tl;dr: Chaotic Labs ships known-defective parts and completely fails to support them despite repeated contacts. Big Tree Tech/BIQU also owns this shameful lack of support!Buyer Beware! This review serves as a stark warning to anyone considering purchasing any version of the Chaotic Lab CNC Tap, or any CL product. After a month of ineffective communication with Support, I'm left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and frankly, ripped off. The CNC Tap V1 has shipped for over a year with known defective sensors that are DOA. Check the Voron Discord for report after report of this. Check the Chaotic Lab Discord for even more reports and an illustration of the manufacturer’s lack of support. Issues have been widely reported by other users online and yet Chaotic Lab shows a complete disregard for their customers' concerns or their responsibility as the manufacturer & distributor of defective products.I have contacted the Chaotic Lab Service Team as well as their tech support department about my defective v1 CNC Tap and despite this being a known issue with scores of reports, the response has been passing the buck and silence. Not one attempt has been made to correct the issue or perform a warranty replacement.I am not the only victim of these scammers; despite the overwhelming evidence of these issues, Chaotic Lab remains silent. No official acknowledgement, no public apology, and certainly no concrete steps towards fixing a product they clearly know is faulty. This blatant disregard for customer safety and satisfaction is unacceptable, especially around these FDM printers that are handling mains voltage and have the potential to cause real damage to people & property. My Recommendation:Stay far, far away from this product, and all Chaotic Lab products. This unfortunately also includes Big Tree Tech/BTT/Biqu, who have some type of relationship with Chaotic Lab. Don't waste your money on a device that will only bring you frustration, and potentially, safety risks.Do yourself a favor, just print your Tap as the Voron team intended.

Look it Over and Verify
The product is would receive 5 stars if it wasn't for them costing me hours of looking through configurations, and alignments, and then luckily the PCB is marked which pins are responsible for Vin (V) and Signal (S) shown in the picture. Please look this over and adjust wire color accordingly. Also, once you re-route your belt. Go through and loctite the screws.Otherwise, it is a very well machined and designed device.

It's amazing
This is simply amazing and easy to install. I did have to change the connector of my wire harness to match what's on the CNC tap but it's a small price to pay for eliminating the z probe switch and the inductive probe. I just got done doing a brand new build (my 3rd trident) and my first layer was 100% no fine tuning. I will be buying 2 more for my other vorons.

Absolutely amazing!! This has made my Voron more accurate then the machine can even register
This is an extremely well made TAP probe, I was hesitant as its CNC machined which you would think would add a lot of weight, but it was very well layed out and machined to make it very strong but light.Pros:Very well machinedVery lightRigideconomically pricedFeature richGenuine HIWIN linear railStrong magnetsGood online documentationExtremely accurateNo more Z offset issues as the nozzle is now the probeCons:Will add some marginal weight over other probe typesDoes have a learning curve to get running right.Overall this is a fantastic addition to any Voron printer improving accuracy, reliability, and repeatability. This is well priced and will certainly make printing much less of a chore and much more enjoyable.
