4.21.17 Update The company has been persistent with follow-up and obviously cares about getting it right. Today I received a new box for the JM-8153 set, and I can report that it works fine and is not broken. I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars. As I said before, for the price, this is a fine set and will work well. Now that the case is in working order, it meets my needs and expectations. The company also sent me a JM8130 set, which also has a good box. I also like the flexible extender in the 8130 - nice set of tools! 2.11.17 Update From my first negative review, the company was prompt in contacting me and sending a replacement. So, 5 stars for customer service, but sending a replacement with the exact same problem will not prompt me to change my rating. For the first set, I wondered if somehow I had caused the box to break. For the replacement set, I knew what to look for. Before I even removed the shrink wrap, I could see through the clear lid that the plastic hook thingy at the back of the box was already broken. I suspect it breaks upon the very first box closing at the factory. Sure enough, I opened the box and the hook just fell off. No cracking noise like the first one - it was already broken. Tray lid is mostly useless at this point. Sorry, the tool set is fine for the price, but if the box/tray and organization is important to you, then this is a fail. Best regards to the fine customer service person! FIRST REVIEW Just like so many others, the set is fine, but the box is terrible. It broke on the very first open. Someone was trying to be too clever and design a system that partially folds down the bits when the lid closes. While this keeps the box slimmer, the money that went into springs, hooks and the pull mechanism could have been saved by making the box a fraction of inch taller. This will be a hassle for as long as I keep it. Now I regret buying the set - I didn't realize how important organized storage would be. Also, after 1 use, the rubber grip on the handle is starting to wear off.

These tools are outstanding for the price point. I consider myself lucky to spend $8 for a single tool, much less a set of tools. The size is perfect. Not too big, not too small. If you have big hands you might fumble while handling the bits, but the driver handle is large enough for even big hands to handle. The variety of bits is awesome. Usually tool sets like this are watered down with esoteric bit types or shapes. This set is designed for small personal electronics, jewelry, and the like. So all of the bits are applicable and the sizes are appropriate. I can see myself using 90% of the bits included. The tweezers are okay, nothing to write home about. The "guitar picks" are what you expect. They're a little thinner and larger than an actual guitar pick. The microfiber cloth is actually quite nice. It's a lot larger than most cloths that you get in tool sets. So that's a plus. My only gripe is the case. It's meant to be durable--not the kind that you would want to throw away. That's fine, but it feels very flimsy. The opening mechanism is unnecessarily complicated--just another piece waiting to break. The separators and mortises for the tools flex and bind, just begging for you to torque on it in the wrong way and break it. As a result I find myself gingerly handling the case and the tools when I'm putting things back or taking things out. I'm afraid that if I break the case I will enjoy this tool set much less. I would be willing to pay a few extra dollars for the manufacturer to design a stronger case. That's just my two cents. Otherwise I give these tools a 5/5. You won't find anything this nice for this price at any of the mainstream hardware stores.

Ok, so let me start off by saying that this is a nice little tool set. I wish the bits where a little harder steel. I also wish it was electirc. I thought I was buying the electric one so now I have two sets of these exact same tool boxes except one is an electric screw driver and one is not. Thats kind of deceiving cause they look the same. Its my fault for hurrying through my purchase. I use these sets for my Traxxas RC truck so I use it a ton. Like everyday. If you have a Traxxas then you know that we are always working on something. Do yourself a favor and go spend a few hundred more dollars and upgrade all your plastic parts to aluminum like I did so you can drive your RC without breaking something all the time. Do yourself another favor and get an electric screwdriver of some kind cause taking all those little screws out and putting them back together is a pain in the butt. Happy RC-ing

I am always impressed with Jakemy tools. They aren't the flashiest brand but everything I've owned by then I still use today. They're good quality small electronics repair tools. I think my first jakemy set was around the iPhone 5s era so well over 10 years. I own some of their molex and other depinning tools, ultrasonic cutter, and various screwdriver sets. I caught this one on a deal and it's sort of a one-stop shop so I highly recommend it. Screwdriver has a built-in extension tweezers nylon brush pretty much anything you need and some things you don't know you need until you need it. Ifixit like quality no loose cheap parts

The quality of this product for the price (I paid 12 dollars) is absolutely amazing. I ran into some screws I couldn't remove while building my computer and had to purchase this. The magnetic tips are somewhat strange to get used to, but really help in cramped spots removing and inserting while building a computer. The handle is bulky and has good grip at the top and is very comfortable to use. The tips are easily removed and inserted to the handle. I was kind of concerned about the tip falling out, but it didn't happen to me once. I used the cloth to clean thermal paste off my cooler and cpu, worked pretty good. The one con I would say is the case that holds everything, this is obviously where they cut some corners to get this product to the price point. It is a tad flimsy and some of the mechanisms that hold the parts in place delicate, but as long as you are careful it is engineered good enough for things to not fly around. Overall great product for working on small equipment and a great price as well.

I have had a cheap set of mini screwdrivers with the skinny straight grooved/fluted handles and the spinning top nut for many years and I never realized how hard they were to hold until I got this set. The little fat grippy handle on this is so much easier for my fingers to hold onto and manipulate and screw and unscrew things with. Frustratingly, lately, all sorts of new screw slots keep appearing on my electronics and this kit has a good selection. I read somewhere this kit has all the right ones for Apple products. The tips easily pop in and out of the slot on the handle which additionally holds them in with a magnet. They work good! Additionally, my little amatuer tinkering heart gets a little goofy and excited about all these tips organized in a nice box with the really effective grippy handle, so forgive the 5 stars if you are a professional. Maybe there are better sets, but this is such a big upgrade from the basic cheap mini screwdriver set and the price was right.

For the price it is worth it. My only issue is the bit driver is just a normal screw driver. It only appears to have an on off switch (it’s a detachable magnetic slider with zero purpose). It also has an attachment point on the side of the handle with no bit retention and is made of plastic with no liner making it unusable under torque.

Ratchets are extremely well designed with different bending angles and flexible extension, making repairing job easy. The bits are very sturdy and well made, coated with thin layer of grease. Coupling with the organizer box, this is an excellent tool for home repair of electronic and even bicycles.

I feel compelled to write a review on this product due to how good it is and how satisfied I was with the company's customer cervice. Among other thigns such as home maintainence (eg - repairing my mothers mix master), auto work, et cetera, I build and repair computers - this has been awesome in having just the right screwdriver or socket for every use. The small ratchet screwdriver is fantastic for most PC work, especially with the small magnetic aattachment and the flexable extension, and the larger one has been used in multiple other instances. There is an extensive selection of srewdriver bits including several types of security bits (eg - a three bladed screwdriver bit like how a Phillips bit is four bladed) which already have come in handy - for example, I had to dissasemble a friends laptop to upgrade the storage which had security srews which was no problem as I had it in the kit. I would also like to include that the company was easy to contact when I had a shipping issue due to the problems that came about due to the COVID pandemic and they responded very quickly (usually within one working day) every time with helpful and reassuring advice - all turned out OK in the end and I am very happy customer. I would highly recommend this product and dealing with this company.

More screw tips than most people would ever need, at a good price. Only gripe is that the magnetic strength is almost non-existent :(
