Very noisy
Our 5th ice machine and by far the noisiest. This machine pumps water during the ice cycle down the vertical ice tray and makes a vibrating noise that resonates through the house, even putting the machine on soft material to try and dampen the noise doesn't help.Makes good sheets of clear ice cubes, like a bar of chocolate which is easily broken up.Not a machine to use within a kitchen area or directly below bedrooms due to the noise, needs placing out of the way in a utility room or garage. When this breaks I won't be getting another.

No moving parts
I have owned this, my fourth ice maker, for several months, and it is by far the best, if more expensive than the previous machines. The three previous machines have all been of the "frozen finger" type where a scoop of water is brought up to fingers that freeze the water around them. The frozen "egg cups" are then ejected into the basket. The ice cubes aren't cubes as they are hollow at one end and therefore melt quickly. They don't look good in the glass either.A reversing mechanism controls the movement and this is the Achilles heal. Each of my previous machines failed due that mechanism. The Fooing doesn't have any moving parts as such. Just a pump and a freezer. The water is allowed to flow down over a metal grid rather like the dividers in a case of bottles. The grid freezes the water as it flows down and gradually ice cubes form. It takes much longer than the finger types, but you get really solid cubes that last ages in the drink and, if you use fresh water each time, they are crystal clear and look good. You can vary the freezing time to some extent and set the machine to start by hour, within 23. So if you use ice every evening you can set it to start again at the same time the following evening, which I find very convenient.Once frozen the cubes fall into the basket in a solid tray full, being joined together by a thin layer of ice. However the cubes can be detached very easily and enjoyed by the scoopful.

Only good for 2 months...
The media could not be loaded. Worked great for 2 months then without warning stopped working correctly, it makes ice but it stays in the chamber where its made and doesn't drop out, display just shows an "E" which isn't in the trouble shooting manual (only "E1" and "E2" are explained, no mention of just an "E"). I cleaned the machine out every week and the water seemed to have an orange tint to it and a rust coloured powder residue was always present when cleaning, I'm guessing the element used to make the ice is rusting causing this and the eventual failure of the unit, I'm not the only one this has happened to, I'm currently in the long, drawn out process of getting product support on Facebook which takes 2 - 3 working days between messages and replies, so far they have asked for Order number and a video of it not working, and now they've passed on the information to thier "tech department" and I'm sat here awaiting another response... Was only returnable for 1 month so now I'm stuck with a £210 paper weight, I cannot recommend this product in its current state, when working it produced great, clear, chunky, long lasting ice cubes which were way better than the fast melting bullet/thimble ice machine ice.

Poor scoop and hard to get my hand into
I have to say, it does look more like a commercial machine rather than for family use as described. It does need to stand for one hour before use too. Checking it over, there was a scratch mark on the side of the lid and the ice basket edge is rough all the way around and feels like its not been coated properly. I filled the tank up to just under the full mark and pressed the start button. For a while, it was running water and not doing much else and then it paused and I could see the layers of ice beginning to build. The cycles felt like they took quite a while to do.It took a couple of rounds to get the ice to a point of being hard enough, but one thing is that they land in the ice bucket all stuck together. Hence, it's not a case of easily shovelling them out. However, hammering away at them is easy enough to break them up. On the downside, this damages the scoop and removes a layer of plastic. Shovelling them out isn't great as I have to get my hand right in there to tilt the scoop back so that they don't slide off. It does make a habit of making me jump when pushing it forward. Draining it requires the plug to be removed (2 pieces) and then tilted back for the final bit. I found the instructions weren't that clear and tedious to read.

Very noisy
A very large ice maker that's perfect for parties etc. This is easy to fill with water but it is quite noisy. It makes 24 ice cubes in every cycle which takes aprox 12 to 18 minutes. There's a 24 hr timer and you can select when to start it etc. I do find the ice sticks together quite often which is really annoying. The machine has a self cleaning programme for when it's needed. It comes with instructions that are clear to follow and the buttons are easy to use. Very pricy for what you get and doesn't seem the best quality. Not the best ice machine we've used and I wouldn't purchase again.
