Some people suggest using a bread knife but as a DIY first timer with insulation board I found this saw brilliant. It doesn’t produce the dust that a circular saw generates.

Used it to cut 50mm Kingspan, it was very effective and no mess. Today I used it on a roll of 100mm loft insulation roll, it was effortless, no shredding or mess, a great clean cut.

Very lightweight saw, easy to use, although quite flexible making it awkward to keep a straight cut through large rolls of insulation

Not good and maybe it’s my fault for using it on 100mm insulation. First incision was smooth like butter then the saw gets stuck. Ended up using my own saw. Perfectly fine. This is highly specialised and overkill. Sadly the manufacturer only provides a demonstration someone cutting THIN AIR. Literally. Made my return 10 minutes after opening the thing. And the one person is the review that claims to have success taunts instead of providing useful feedback to build others up. What a clown fiesta.

Great for cutting anything up to 70mm PIR insulation. 100mm is a bit of a struggle but doable. Dustless to cut which is lovely, more of a knife than a saw though so takes a bit more elbow grease to cut using these. Wouldn't buy again for cutting 100mm. Would definitely buy again for cutting anything <70mm

Game changer for insulation, king-span and like materials, no mess but should come with a blade guard as it’s like a giant bread-knife so use and store with care.

The saw does cut very well, however to through 60mm of cellotex is very hard work.o have using the saw eventually as it was becoming impossible to use.

It was hard to cut a 10 cm sheet ended using a saw.

Cutting mineral wool bats or wood insulation bats the saw is accurate for great fast clean cuts can’t say enough good things about it. We’ve even used the cut foam excellent!

刃の形状はパン切り包丁のピッチを大きくしたような波刃で、ハサミの滑り止め処理みたいなギザもついています。サーフボードに使われている高グレートの発泡スチロール(EPS)と、発泡ウレタン(ホムセンに売ってるスタイロの倍くらい高密度な発泡材)を切ってみましたが画像のように波をうったような切り口になります。これはノコギリで言う「アサリ」的な感じでノコギリの鋼板の厚さより外側に歯のピッチが出ていることで多少切削幅は出てしまうが厚いものを切った時に鋼板が吸い付かないで動かしやすくなるための処理なんですが、切り粉が出ないだけあって切削しながら切っていないため単純に波打って食い込んで切れてくだけで刃は思いっきり吸いつきますw。もっと厚いものを切って画像撮ろうと思いましたがその行為がめんどくさいくらい切れません。薄いものなら切れますが薄いものは普通のカッターでも切れますからね。用途に悩みます。。 ハンドル部分と鋸の背の部分を利用した垂直と45度の定規として使える機能が面白そうで購入しましたが、おそらく昨今売られている洋鋸の50％くらいはこの機能ついてますw。 ビーズがポロポロ取れやすい低密度の発泡スチロールや、スカスカのスタイロフォームになら使える可能性もありますが正確な作業は期待できなそうです。綺麗なまま取っておいて大きなフランスパンを縦割りにするとか？そんな機会が来るまで出番ないかな。。見た目はカッコ良いのでガレージライフの装飾品として、または洋鑿の替え刃だけ持ってて今風のかっこいいハンドルを付けたいとかだったらハンドルは持ちやすいですよ。

J'ai reçu la scie, mais pas encore utilisée. La lame de la scie est un vrai rasoir, je pense que ça va couper très facilement. Pensez à acheter l'affûteur en même temps.
