Buyer beware! Their is an inherent manufacturing design fault with the player.

Looks amazing, sounds terrible.
I bought this to replace my expired LG SR905B. It has all the features you need just not the sound quality to back it up. So disappointed as it looks awesome. I assumed it was faulty as the bass performance was so poor as was the treble. It just sounded like a much cheaper system. I even took a trip to Curry's to listen to one their but it was the same. Bought the Sony BDV-E4100 and returned this. Sony is awesome!!

Balanced, elegant, great solution.
Bought this from a Currys store today. It has been very good. First off, there are no hard wired connections, appropriate and reasonable lengths of speaker cable are provided (thank god!) so you can exchange it for longer, high quality cable if needed. There is one hard wired connection, and this is for the subwoofer to avoid user error by plugging in lets say one of the tall boy speakers into the woofer outlet and blowing it up in turn (don't think your dealer would be too happy if you returned it because of this). There is no cutting corners on this system; the speakers have aramid fibre woofers (like kevlar) however this didn't carry over to the subwoofer, which is a shame as it would have looked the part if it did also have this design. The sound quality is very nice as to be expected of the overall build quality. My only gripe was at first the bass response seemed to be very pathetic but after some tweaking it's sounding better than my old separates system, by a mile. I tried also exchanging the front speakers for proper JBL Control 1 bookshelf style speakers but they didn't sound as good as the stock LG speakers on this system. The bass is deep, and the subwoofer can really set the atmosphere for both movies and music because of it's phenomenal sound. The rest of the speakers look lovely, and they sound just as good. Watch a film on this and the balanced sound of an all in one system over separates really comes alive as the components are so well selected and match, there seems to be little difference in sound field as action moves from one speaker to another, which creates a far more convincing surround sound experience. For music the system also sounds good. Some Hifi systems have sealed subwoofers which mean they pack more punch than real bass, the LG system really benefits with music for having a front facing ported design. The specs are a bit misleading, I doubt it's 1200W but lets face it all manufacturers are doing it these days. For me moving from a seperates system I was worried this maybe wouldn't live up to the standards, but it honestly does. This does eleganty and well in 1 plug what my old system did in 4 sockets (Blu ray player, Sony AV receiver, HDMI audio extractor and active JBL subwoofer). Now that is something to say for an all in one system.I highly recommend this system, go to Currys and get it whilst it's in stock and cheap. I bought the last one in the Doncaster today, and I'm not surprised they have sold so well. The only complaint I have on this is what did they do with the headphone jack? That was a valued feature for me to have if I am listening to music late at night, but not to worry. To conclude, the LG LHB745 is a great system that deserves 5 starts. Get it while you can,

Les T, what is the inherent fault you mention ...
Les T, what is the inherent fault you mention please? I am on my second unit and it still has the same fault as the first. The volume goes quiet after a couple of hours if volume setting is below 25.

Avoid at all costs - you will regret getting this!
Don't even consider this item!I have had mine since March 2016 and it has never worked properly. After an hour or so of use the actual volume disappears to nothing (even though the volume level on the display stays unchanged) You turn it up, so you can hear the sound then aftyer a few minutes you are deafened and have to turn it down again. This circus carries on until you get fed up and revert back to the tv speaker!I have had 3 repair visits from LG, new main boards fitted, a new fan fitted as it never seemed to come on, and still the problem persists.LG have finally conceded that the unit cant be economically repaired and have authorized a refund or exchange. I wont be getting another LG as I have had 3 now, and none have lasted more than 18 months before some terminal electronic failure
