This stropping block will make your knives scary sharp. I recently bought a set of kitchen knives and this thing made them so sharp I can hold a piece of paper in the air and slice thin strips off it with no effort whatsoever...I was a bit disappointed in the block of wood that came with this (Cheap Unfinished Poplar) so I gave it 4 stars. For the price I expected at least a finish on it especially when you consider it will be used around water...

Tengo el juego de piedras de afilar de Zwilling by Kramer y decidí comprar este asentador de cuero para así cerrar el círculo completo y dejar mis cuchillos en perfectas condiciones y con un filo tipo espejo.Este asentador, no requiere comprar compuestos adicionales y el cuero por si solo, deja los filos de excelente manera para dar el acabado final y eliminar los últimos restos de virutas de acero que quedan despues de afilar con las piedras. Además, el cuerpo de madera posee muy buenas terminaciones y se nota un producto de calidad.Lo recomiendo.

Cheaply made product. Literally a block of wood with stick on leather and grippy feet. Spend the money and buy a real strop, this ain’t it.

During these COVID-19 days, I have been trying to improve my ability to sharpen knives. Despite purchasing the entire Kramer kit and watching far too many videos, I still have been unable to get the razor edge of a new knife. Until this.This does the job. Learn how to use it first, though, or you can ruin your strop instantly. The edge of the knife must be a following edge, not a leading edge. But done properly, knife stropping is the real deal.

Slick leather so no loading with compound or spraying with diamond liquid. After using a compound loaded strop, used this for a final polish/strop. Clean razor finish.

This strop works magic! I have tried making my own and using pre-bought ones from amazon before. NONE. Have worked as well as this at refining the edge to that crisp clean hair whittling edge. Truly a great big and a great addition to any knife hobbiest’s addiction.
