0 to Awesome in two solder joints! (A mic upgrader's dream)
Why 5* but only 3* for audio quality? Let me explain.Like all mics at this price point, the Newer utilises some less-than-ideal parts like K596 FET and a fairly nasty FETless condenser capsule. This does affect the sound quality somewhat. It's not that it's bad per se, it's just that while it looks very impressive on the desk, the audio doesn't match my homemade ones built from medium-priced small diaphragm condensers (SDCs).As is, the sound is about a 3-4 (on a scale of 5) which is fine for gaming but for Podcasting you'd want something with a little more flare. This is why I'm going to shock you and tell you this mic can be upgraded by anyone who can just about solder a wire in about 20 minutes and it sounds absolutely gorgeous. I mean £200 - £300 gorgeous. Now it's never going to look like a Rode or a Neuman, You're not buying just a name, you're getting a reputation. The big names are generally built with better quality materials - the gold effect mic grill is chintz and looks horrible (thankfully it comes with a windscreen). The rest of the pack is ... as you'd expect for the money. The 48v adaptor is a nice inclusion but the arm feels like it could fall apart at any moment. Still, it does make a nice lightweight crane for a GoPro or similar camera. Don't laugh, it really does. It's honestly hard to beat the Newer in terms of value right out of the box. It puts the big fellas to shame there, but if you want a studio-quality mic without the studio price tag, this is a great donor shell. In addition to the capsule, the K596 FET could probably be upgraded with a 2SK170 or similar for even lower noise and there's probably room for an OPA Alice board in there if you're really, really adventurous. The total cost of the upgrade ranges from about £12 [capsule only] to perhaps £40 (if you want to throw it all away and start again with the OPA1642). If you don't know what any of that is, never fear, you're probably not the sort of person who would do this sort of upgrade anyway and for the money... you're getting a pretty decent bit of kit.

Good sound quality.
The microphone itself and many of its components are made mainly of plastic, but that's okay considering the price. Its a good starting microphone; the quality is VERY good in comparison to basic headphone microphones that may come with your phone, or your gaming headset. The setup itself is pretty simple, and overall I would recommend it if price is a concern.

NW-800 Microphone review
Definitely worth the money. It does as I expected have a bit of noise in the background however I think its mostly due to the phantom power supply, I think if you were to buy the version without that and get a separate sound card altogether. There are many reviews on Youtube where you can hear the quality of the microphone but most are using their own sound cards which honestly sounds a bit better. Overall it's definitely worth it considering its low price and I would recommend it to others

Value for money
For the money I payed it is a great product. The microphone does a nice job, it is easy to set up and doesn't take too much space. If well set up it doesn't catch sounds of keyboard or too many background noises. However the reason for 3 starts rather than 4/5 is the over all quality. The power supply that comes with it is too light and the cable weight is pulling it off the desk. Also, it is a bit too weak - not enough power given to the microphone. The most annoying bit is the quality of the metal used to hold the arm (The screw to attach it to the desk). It is a weak and cheap quality metal, already slightly bend metal after first time set up. I don't expect it too hold for too long. I also ordered a model with black power supply to match my computer build but got a gold one - I'm not going to send it back just because of that reason however. To sum up, if you're in a need of new microphone but only want to spend around £30, this is probably a microphone for you.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
The title says it all to be honest but to add onto that all I really have to say is that while it works it's basically the worst mic I've ever used

I used it for my Laptop (Windows), wow!!.
Can't complain about this mic because it gives a very good sound. All things coming in the box are useful and in good condition.**Who aims to use this mic for laptop need to know how to set up it.1. You need USB Audio Adaptor (not included in the box) if you don't have, The mic will not work with your Laptop.2. Setting up your Windows setting (Attached picture) to use your USB audio device and also set USB mic for default.3. Enjoys

Good value for money after some tuning
I've found that this mic can be a tad bit too "bassy" but I used voicemod to tune it in properly and it worked great. the stand did get a bit flimsy after a while and unfortunately broke. another thing I found was that the mic worked well without the Phantom power supply surprisingly and actually sounded a bit better too.

Kit perfecto
