I impulse bought this, and thought it may be a waste of money - who needs such an expensive bin for cat poop? But it is the best thing i ever bought as a cat owner. Makes cleaning litter boxes so much easier and more convenient. Only gripe is that the branded refill cartridges are so expensive - you can buy cheap refill bags to stick in the origninal bag cartridge

I wanted to write a review after having the LitterGenie for just over 2 weeks with one bag change - I may update later down the line if there's anything that causes me to change my mind.I can honestly say this has been a gamechanger. In any normal bin, the inside of the bin would start to absolutely reek and leak to the outside - which happened with our previous workaround which was a small bin outside. But with the LitterGenie there truly is no smell at all. I do think the bags may be the main reason for this, but the whole bin and the ease of use is great. I am a little worried about the price of the refills, but I would say it genuinely does hold up to two weeks of litter (both number 1 clumps and number 2) so I'm really happy. I no longer have to go outside I can just pop it in the LitterGenie. Also to add - when changing the bag, the way the bin is designed means that no smell escapes either - a worry I had from a previous review I'd seen, but basically it clamps the bag closed and you can just use the internal cutter to cut the bag.It looks neat and isn't overly huge, and the scoop & scoop holder is great.I do think it's quite expensive for what it is, especially with the refills being needed later on, but in my opinion it's a worthwhile investment!

I've had to move, at very short notice, to a very small space with my outdoor cat. I love him more than anything, but his poops and pees are stinky. No matter how much I cleaned his tray, it reeked. I saw this and hmmed and hawed and eventually gave in and bought it.It's a bit fiddly to set up, but once you've done it, I'm certain that refilling it won't be an issue because you can understand the process. It's discreet, easy to use and comes with a scoop you can pop on either side.Now, let me tell you: I am SO HAPPY I ordered this. I don't have to head to the big bin multiple times a day, once I have scooped his poop and pee, I just shut the lid, pull the lever and cannot smell anything. It's great. I have recommended this to everyone I know who has a cat.Is it expensive? Yes, I paid about £40 for it, but in my opinion, it's worth it. The smell is gone, I make fewer trips to the big bin and both me and my boy can enjoy our space together.

This is a great product…keeps all the smell in and doesn’t need changing too often. Would’ve given 5 stars but the refills are super expensive!

I don't usually leave reviews for products but felt the need to give this one a good review so others know. It does the job and it does it well. I have two ragdolls and live in an apartment. I really didn't want to put cat poop and pee in my bin in the kitchen. This locks away the odours really well and it's not at all difficult to use. The refills are a bit on the expensive side but they do last a decent amount of time. I wouldn't be without Litter Genie now. Fantastic product.

The Litter Genie has been excellent. It's simple to use and more effective than a basic bin at keeping odours away.It makes the clean up process easy as it sits perfectly next to the litter box. Emptying after 2 weeks is an easy process. Just flip the lid, use the fixed bag cutter, tie and throw away. Simple!It cuts down on plastic bag waste as one bag of waste litter every 2 weeks is a lot less plastic bags thrown away and they are also strong and secure.If dealing with the litter box is a chore then get this to make things easier!

This is a great little solution to the problem of keeping the litter tray clean and tidy. Its so much easier to scoop straight into this bin, and then pull and release the slider to seal it all in, compared with unpeeling bags, scooping into them, tying and disposing of them. And Suddenly there is no odour..I don't know how frequently I will need to empty the bin, or how long the rather pricey cartridge will last, but its seems manageable for the benefit.I bought the plus size for my two indoor cats. it's not obtrusive, aboutbthe size of a bathroom pedal bin.

I never thought I would get this heated writing a review about a cat little locker, but here we are.Firstly to start this is a re-design of the previous litter genie locker (which worked perfectly fine) and for some reason (money) the company changed the refills from circular to square, because of course they did.This new design is far worse. The material it’s made of feels flimsy and cheap. The trap door slider is not as angled so cat poop often stays, and has a terrible spring on it so is stiff to move. I have to put the poop in, and then close the lid, and shake the whole unit like a crazy person.Lastly to replace the cartridge you have to click open from the top (before you can open the whole device from the back so you didn’t have to touch any of the areas where they cat poo touches). Yep, you have to manually pry open a cover that is where you drop your cat poop.Terrible terrible from a greedy company. Don’t buy
