SIMPLE DIRECT ACCESS TO OBD PORT
This is a totally direct access to the OBD port pins. The 5.5x2.1mm DC input is directly connected to the ODB port battery pin. DO NOT APPLY 8-30VDC OR SHORT TO ANYTHING! Be careful. The cable is a bit stiff, cumbersome, and a little short. However, the recovered waveforms from the data bus are quite clean and free of ringing observed on longer more flexible offerings. The connectors and breakout cables are well constructed for this price point. The entire package is a sweet deal to get you started and plenty good enough for an electrical engineer playing auto-tech on his friends vehicles.

Breakout box for the OBD
The Angry Mechanic sez,No Mechanic ever want to have to use a breakout box on a control module but when you need it, YOU NEED IT.This tool keeps you from damaging the delicate pins in the OBD connector. It comes with a lot of test leads of various types and everything seems to be very well madeI got this tool to help with LS swaps that can sometimes be troublesome if you are using junk yard parts from unknown sources and aftermarket wiring harnesses that may or may not be built correctly.I Approve of this tool.I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!

Keeps you from cutting into wiring
The tool is very handy and a must have if you want to quickly test your low and high CAN circuits, battery positive, ground, and frame grounds. You can hook a meter to the tool or even an oscilloscope and test incoming and outgoing voltage.
