Hi are they definitely the blue plastic sticks?

the sticks are white not blue and are made of compressed paper which bend like plastic but under force snap

Are these paper or blue plastic sticks?

I have not used them yet. They look paper sticks not the old style of blue sticks.

Have these cotton buds got the blue plastic stems?

No there the white stems. I do prefer the blue stems myself but very hard to find. After 6 pots I’m now used to the white stems.
