Excellent choice for small fish
This little fish tank is very pretty, and will really fit with any decor, I purchased the black trim. The filter is vey good, and makes almost no sound at all. The glass is thin, so I would not recommend for children. Overall is a great tank for betta or small fish.

Use a stable power source
This is a revised review.I thought the light was defective. (And wrote a not too favorable review,) I now believe the problems I was having were due to using an incompatible USB source. My guess is that this light draws so little current while on standby that my "smart" charger shut down the power to the connection at the end of every day. Therefore the light needed to be disconnected and reconnected in order to reset the charger. I put the light on another charger and the daily program now runs fine. The light is, perhaps, adequate., It does not appear to be a high-CRI plant light. Though, easy to grow plants should do fine in it. Algae will not likely be an issue. Integrated into the cover, it reduces evaporation of the tank water. The tank itself is very nice. The clear and thick glass adds sturdiness and makes this look like much pricier rimless tanks. The dimensions are perfect for putting on shelf or bookcase.I saw other reviews that said the built-in filter was audible and had too much flow. I opted to use a nano sponge filter which is quiet and has gentle flow for a betta.

False Advertising
This tank is BARELY over 1 gallon. Of course I didn’t realize this until after my fish died and I was emptying the water out. 100% false advertising. The filter was also way too strong (and not actually adjustable) so I bought a separate one that worked. The vendor did issue a refund, which I appreciate. Although I got another Betta which I had in the tank for FOUR days while I prepared a larger tank for her and she jumped out of the slit between the glass and the cover. I found her dead, dried up on my rug. I’m glad I received my money back but having TWO dead fish is not worth the money.

The tank looks nice and works well
The media could not be loaded. The tank is very easy to set up and looks nice. It has 3 different light settings, although the first 2 look very similar. The filter is completely quiet.I’ve now had the tank for about 10 days and the water stays clean, changing about 1/3 of the water a week is enough.Bubbles (the fish) seems happier.I’ve noticed the tank water stays 3 degrees warmer than the house, which in my case is fine as we keep the house at 78 f.

Not the best
It’s okay I guess. Not in love with this design. The gap goes in front and is unsightly and allows quicker evaporation. The filtration system is difficult to clean and after a few months the motor slips off easily from the rest of the tube

You get what you pay for
This was a great little tank, aesthetically pleasing, especially for the price. However, I learned from the fish enthusiasts down at the pet store that it is likely too small for a beta and we ended up buying a bigger tank. I was told the filter was not adequate and it does not come with a heater. The lights worked well but the cover was difficult to sit flush as you will find that there are many wires that need to fit through the small gap in the back. All in all, it is much cheaper than other tanks and it was difficult to tell if my beta fish was happier once we got him a new tank.
