Crackshot Men's Snake Bite Proof Guardz Gaiters

After being bitten by a Western Midget Faded Rattlesnake this spring which almost killed me I decided to buy these snake gaitors to get in and out of my gold claim which has two dens on the rarely traveled dirt mountain and dangerous road. I was heading out with a mining partner and only a few feet in front of him when he saw a rattlesnake that I just walked over and almost stepped on himself. When we got back to the truck it was clear my right leg was bitten twice, venom still on the gaitor. These gaitors are the best and most comfortable ones I have ever worn and the stood up to the test.

I am an avid Hiker for 8 years and the mountain area I Hike, a Rattle Snake about 5-6 Ft. long crossed the trail about 4Ft. in front of me. So, I decided now is the time to get protection against being struck. When I got home I searched Amazon for "Snake Leggins" and selecting Snake Guards, because they appeared offer the best protection options. The leggins came within 2 days, I wore them on the next day and on the 2nd day I was struck by a Specked Rattler (gray-black color). This 5 Star Rating is based solely on the fact that their product did exactly what was described. The fangs did not penetrate the leggins and the snake's venom cover areas around where the snake actually struck. Now I don't go hiking without them...

Sizing is accurate and as much as I did not want to proof test the item a cotton mouth snake hit me while out scouting recently. And thankfully the product definitely stood up to the task and not only surprised me but​ the snake aswell!

I ordered 2 one for me and my husband. We hike in the Smoky mountains and there are rattle snakes and copper heads. We both can enjoy hiking in snake season with our snake guards on. I highly recommend them. They are light weight and dimensions not interfere with our hiking. We hiked 19 miles and neither of us had any issues. They can get warm over pants in hot weather but nothing unbearable.

SIZE: My calf measures 18" with jeans and as per their chart is a Large or XLarge....an either way. Large is perfect for me with a 1.5" overlap when buckled. The XLarge, in my opinion, would provide unnecessary overlap to deal with and be bulky.

They fit just right. I am 5 ft, 110 lbs. According to the chart I was supposed to go with a medium, but went with my gut (as I never fit into anything above a small) and got the small and they fit very nicely, with some room to wear over pants. They start JUST below my knees and cover a good portion of my boots. They seem very well made. Easy to put on.Will be using them this weekend in very tall, very wet grass. Will update after a few uses.

These snake guards are great. Nobody in my family goes hunting in Arizona without wearing these. We have several pair. It gives us a real sense of security when walking through the desert or the forest when we go hunting. An Arizona Black Rattlesnake almost got me when I was turkey hunting in the Arizona mountains. Now I don't worry about it. Great product and they fit well. So no issues even when hiking 7 to 10 miles in search of elk.

The Snake Guardz snake protection lower leggings seemed to arrive at drone delivery speed in an undamaged box and were each super easy to fit onto my lower legs while staying up and secure with occasional pulling of the straps to retighten.The Snake Guardz are sturdy yet light, snug yet didn’t overheat, and they each appeared to be treated with some sort of water repellent after hosing off two days worth of walking through weed, thistles (protection against stabbing foliage a big plus) and dried quickly.Be sure to properly measure your calves, for this set fit perfectly based on the sizing information available.
