Perfect and easy fix.

This part was a 3rd of the price of what mini charged me and is working perfectly.

So this purge valve, solves some of the problems, but create other problems, the vehicle started surging and missing. I had to pull this off go and go to the dealership to get the OEM part and put it in, and it solved all the problem. Purge valve is not a like for like

My application for this vent valve is a 2015 Mini, an F55 4 door, with the 3 cylinder B38 motor, a standard transmission, and almost 60k miles. Symptoms have been an occasional increased engine idle speed, since this is a standard it didn’t really cause a problem. Then after an extended period of high idle, it threw a P0171 System Too Lean code. Freeze frame data showed both Short Term Fuel Trim and Long Term Fuel Trim pegged at +25% when the code was set. The high idle and the lean code both pointed to a source of unmetered air, consistent with the Fuel Tank Vent Valve sticking in an open position. Then a week later the car threw a P0440 Evap Malfunction code, and freeze frame info showed LTFT at +22% again consistent with the Fuel Tank Vent Valve open when it shouldn’t be.This valve comes well protected in a plain box, no marks on the valve except for “PA66 GF25” indicating the material as polyamide 66 (nylon) with 25% glass fill. The coil on this replacement part measures 15.3 ohms. The original coil is 17.3 ohms, so pretty much the same. Installation is super easy, less than five minutes. Vent valve is on top of the motor. Remove the beauty cover, the hose connections at either end are removed by squeezing the knurled part of the fitting. I struggled with the electrical connecter until I discovered that after sliding the gray locking tab out, you must squeeze the locking tab and then the connector comes right off.Time will tell how this valve holds up, but the fit is perfect and so far all is well. I will post an update if I have any trouble with this valve. 5 stars for an inexpensive part that fits just like the original.Update 9-1-2023: This valve has been in service 10 weeks now and all is well. Car is driven daily. 10 weeks isn't a lot of history, but it is great to see the symptom of unstable idle is gone and no more codes. This was an easy DIY fix.
