Only 3 weeks in, but seems to be having an impact.
Given its reputation as a powerful anti-inflammatory, I did quite a lot of research on curcumin and the various formulas. I have spinal issues that cause daily pain and I do not like to take NSAIDs or other painkillers. I had taken the Meriva curcumin formula for an extended period a few years ago and thought it may have helped pain level somewhat, but I started shedding a lot of hair and since that was the only thing I was taking at the time, I stopped.I was skeptical about taking curcumin again, but liked what I read about Longvida's ability to break the blood-brain barrier. I'm 50 and don't always feel as sharp as I used to, so why not? Within a few days, I noticed pain levels decrease. I have been taking one in the morning along with a fish oil capsule. This works significantly better than the maximum prescription dose of ibuprofen or naproxen. And yes, I do feel a bit more clear-headed, but not sure if other factors are involved. I have only been taking it for 3 weeks, so this review may change in time. This is expensive, but it's hard to put a price tag on decreased pain level and other benefits to health. That being said, there are other companies selling Longvida for quite a bit less and I may give one of those a shot.

This is the best curcumin you can buy!
The most important aspect of any curcumin supplement is bioavailability. This Nutrivene Curcumin is one of the few brands that are made from LongVida curcumin. LongVida curcumin is a type of curcumin that has been engineered for optimal absorption into the bloodstream. In other words, LongVida does a far better job of getting through your digestive tract and into your blood (which is where you want it). As a result, other curcumin products are many many times less effective gram for gram or not effective at all. If curcumin does not get into your bloodstream and from there the tissues of your body, there is no point in taking it. I have been using this version of LongVida curcumin for a year now and love it. Right now there is no point in taking any curcumin that is not LongVida.

Likely works for cancer
Buying Longvida curcumin for my cat with mammary cancer for around a year, we did not do surgery nor chemo. Give her 4 capsules a day ( 1 capsule every 6 hours), sometimes more, also give IP-6 (3 capsules a day with water, on an empty stomach) and modified citrus pectin (1.5-2 capsules of 800 mg a day). Cat's weight is 3-3.5 kg.Tumors did not grow big, just many, but small (2-10mm) lumps on her belly, not attached to surrounding tissues, she even does't know about them. The cat is 14 years old and i think it is a good and working treatment for her, the most safe for old animals (or humans) who might not survive extensive surgery or chemotherapy. P.S. in humans/dogs curcumin without piperine may work worse, cause cats lack the ensyme that deactivates curcumin in the liver, so have longer lasting active curcumin in their blood&tissues. In humans/dogs this can be solved by piperine use along with curcumin. For humans/dogs it may worth to try the NovaSOL curcumin formulation, it is even better absorbed and water-soluble.But if you use curcumin, IP-6 and MCP along with traditional cancer tretments like surgery and chemo, i think you might get even a complete cure. All these substances increase sensitivity of cancer cells to chemo drugs, curcumin supresses cancer stem cells, IP-6 and MCP inhibit metastasis.Curcumin and IP-6 are blood thinning, so do not use them 2 weeks prior to surgery. MCP is good in perioperative period (5 days before surgery and after), because it will supress surgery-induced metastasis.

Excellent Product
I highly recommend Curcumin, LonvidaTM by Nutrivene. When I learned that Curcumin/Turmeric does not biodegrade or is absorbed well, I spent days researching for the best Curcumin/Turmeric. Curcumin, LonvidaTM by Nutrivene had undergone many laboratories tests with excellent results. I have been using it now for less than one month with great satisfaction. I have COPD and was plagued with heavy mucus for months that is gone now. And my digestive system has greatly improved that contributes to better breathing.

Didn't work for me, but good quality Curcumin with Longvida.
Expensive, but good if you find it works for you. After 3 months of taking Curcimin/Turmeric, I've concluded that it's (unfortunately) not helping with my inflammation. That being said, it wasn't the fault of the product - everyone's body chemistry is just different, I suppose.

This stuff works, but a warning!
I'm actually surprised that this product is garnering any negative reviews. I've been experimenting with nutraceuticals over the last 10 years, and with few exceptions, none of them really does much of anything. Longvida is one of the exceptions.I notice generally an hour after taking it an improvement in mood, cognitive function, energy, and my achy joints. That alone should convince you that it's working, let alone what it's doing on a cellular level to clear up cellular debris and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. But a warning! Apparently curcumin and green tea promote opposite effects in promoting gene expression of the keratinocyte differentiation marker. I'm not exactly positive on what this gene expression stimulates but it appears to protect the basal cell. I just learned about this today, hence I will be consuming green tea many hours after I've consumed Longvida. I'll post the link to the study in the comments field in case anyone's interested.Edit: I forgot to mention that many other brands try to increase the bioavailability of curcumin by adding pepper (or BioPerine). If you take any other supplements or medications, then the BioPerine will affect the availability of that supplement/drug too. Just another reasons to stick to Longvida, which just consists of curcumin.
